  1. I guess what to do with ball hadn't La Crossed the design teams' minds
  2. and of course how can we forget the one who said around the world - Sir Cumvent.
  3. some of Crown's tuba players look Knights of the Round Table. The middle prop was made by Sir Cumference.
  4. My opinion, it's going to take some changes. They have the talent.
  5. A good show, but too many horses ahead of them for top 12. Hard to break that magic 12 spots.
  6. don't mind the unis, but on some members they look like waders. Need some fitting.
  7. we'll see what Brooks thinks about it. With corps marching their battery up front now and then, I think it will make a difference. Time will tell.
  8. I don't think they will with the battery living backstage almost the whole time. If you can't see or hear them, no credit.
  9. haven't seen much of the battery staying back stage
  10. OK, I'm old but not entirely senile. Did somebody from BD find an old piece of football tarp and say, let's see how much mileage we can get out of this? I don't understand the significance. If one of you young bloods could explain the tarp to me, I would appreciate it. Are they seeing how gullible people are, or is there a reason for using it?
  11. Does anyone know where SCV will be practicing Aug. 6th - Allentown Show?
  12. Reciprocity only means that states accepts that you have a license, and they recognize it. It doesn't allow you to practice in that state until you have requested and received a registration from that state. That is hundreds of dollars a state.
  13. As an RN in New York State, I have to get permission from any state I was traveling through if my responsibilities included passing medications to someone other than me (or a family member). I work with Developmentally Disabled people. A trip to Hershey Park was planned. I had to request permission to pass their medications while on the trip. I had to submit copies of license and registration, and the request was approved. The request was very limited to passing medications only. Nurses that travel with corps - I have seen ads for nurses from touring corps - do more than pass meds that have been previously ordered. They do treatments, pass meds written in the state they are currently in, and can assist in some PT and OT, orders. How do corps handle this issue when they have professional licensed people on staff?
  14. First of all, I have every right to bash who I want, and I don't need permission from you one way or the other. Secondly, it's not the youth, it's staff that writes like they are writing for a DCI Champion corps. I don't believe they get better every time they step on the field. I don't think it's any fun knowing you are going to get beat by a huge spread every night. It's demoralizing - not building you up. They would better served taking their tour money and investing in private lessons. And you have the right to say what you wish, but don't tell anyone else what they can say or write.
  15. They will only get better by learning to do things better - otherwise they keep learning not so good. That does not build character, that builds disappointment.
  16. Do you really believe that the young people in this corps are getting a good experience? I have very mixed emotions about this subject.
  17. Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
  18. I was surprised at that myself. I was confused when the corps was playing this nice ballad, and the guard was doing staccato movements to it. It didn't seem to fit. ??
  19. must be difficult riding one of those props and playing!
