  1. Pacific Crest 2010 www.pacific-crest.org
  2. Citations folding = Lame (not good, sad, etc...)( , , )
  3. I agree with Magonical, this thread should be removed. “Silence is the universal refuge, the sequel to all dull discourses and all foolish acts, a balm to our every chagrin, as welcome after satiety as after disappointment” Henry David Thoreau
  4. I agree, the situation was handeled poorly. Juvenile even!
  5. There has been no FORMAL announcement that the organization will not be fielding a corps this year. There are steps to take before an announcement can be made: 1. Proclaim that they will "rise from the ashes" and field a corps. 2. Scramble around having a panic attack trying to gather enough staff (and now members) 3. Then they will fail. 4. Then they will "take a season off to re-group" 5. Then they will fold 6. AND THEN you will get your formal announcement that you crave so dearly. Another one bites the dust Another one bites the dust And another one gone, and another one gone Another one bites the dust All in all the whole situation stinks. Its amazing that this activity can have huge highs and devistating lows all caused by the actions of a few. Why does Open Class seem to have these problems?
  6. What happened to staff loyality? There are now two open class corps that will not be fielding this year. Citations and Mystikal. One East Coast and one West Coast. Not good. Remember East Coast Jazz and Esperanza? Woah.
  7. This is oddly similar to the Spartans/Citations debacle. Open Class is falling apart. Discuss.
  8. Sooooo... back on topic. There has been no activity on the Citations website since just after finals. In fact, several staff names listed on the Citations website are also listed as staff on the Spartans website. I guess we won't be seeing the Citations on the field this year. Such a shame. Especially considering the available member and staff talent pool in the area that could really produce a great ensemble. That is of course if the powers that be at Citations don't just roll over and die (which is whats seems to be happening). Another one bites the dust.
  9. Are Citations going to fold or does anyone think they will be able to pull a staff together from the pool of qualified instructors in their area? Would be a shame to see them go.
  10. So... now that the Spartans are going to be back on the scene, are Citations going to be able to retain any of their staff from previous years? Hope so.
