I agree as a clarinet player

I think that more durable woodwinds would have to be developed before we would see widespread usage. Or they would have to have someone on staff able to replace pads and such after a heavy rain. Clarinets are a pain to keep up even without being drenched, baked in the sun, fallen on and generaly abused. Brass is a lot easier to fix.

I kinda know how you feel. In 2008 when Cascades went inactive, I didnt know what to do. that feeling sucks.
