Really strong showing by Gold, Genesis is pretty solid as well. These scores seem higher than last year!

From Boo's prelims blog: "Sadly, Revolution was going to be with us next, but they had an issue with their equipment truck that is going to require a massive hit in unexpected spending. They didn't know about this until they got ready to come down here from Michigan City and have elected to return home than risk putting the corps in a financial headlock. The age-outs will be returning for the Age-Out Ceremony, though." I think we can calm down a little now, I bet they're fine.

Very excited to see Legends, I really enjoyed them on the Minneapolis webcast, and that was almost a month go!

I would guess since Semifinals last year. They got 17th (against some good world class groups). But in open class, they lost to Vanguard Cadets on June 25th in the 2011 season.

As far as the ACTUAL topic, I think some things need to be done, but we've seen this thread upwards of 5 times this summer, along with the billion Crown vs. BD threads. Sometimes repetition doesn't help at all...

Congrats Oregon! I saw that coming after seeing them in San Antonio, well deserved! Congrats to everyone else as well, some seriously underrated shows! (what I've seen of them...)

Do we really need another one of (since your font is so big) these threads? We've heard it over and over this summer, and guess what, no one REALLY CARES after the first few.

As far as having a separate pit judge, not a bad idea IMO, it would keep a drum judge with the drum line and the pit could be watched ALL the time. The least interesting and easiest stuff in the pit can be where the most technique errors are just because they require less thought, and the list could go on. But, DCI would have to pay more judges per contest I suppose. (If that's how it works)

IMO, they should broadcast some Open class stuff before adding another World Class show. All the video we get is if they're at a random mostly world class show or finals. That's all.

I'll list the others later, but when I went to San Antonio, I only got 1 full body chill, when Crossmen hit that Earth Song reprise in the cross at the end. Ooh, that was a surreal feeling.
