4 years in a row now for me. It has its problems but hey, I get to watch every finals show from the last 41 years, whenever I want!

Its a start!

Doesnt look bad to me. When I looked at it I see people coming from slightly different directions, with different step sizes. If you take away those marching backwards, everyone appears to be picking up their left foot at the same time as they are all pointing towards the ground. If anything, its a dirty form/transition.

I think people are more focused on the fact that Colts had a 3.35 jump in one day.

Star 93 would also need more modern guard work. They did some cool things with the dual sticks but flag work/weapon wise, it would need much more.

You can say that about a lot of corps, really. Who knows where these talented staff and members would end up if others were around. Just a big what if game

Well, we will see what the scores look like tonight for the Colts. They go on just before Spirit so if there were any mis managed numbers, they will be fixed tonight. Though, going after Pioneer may keep Colts scores a tad low. Wouldnt be surprised to see a 1-1.5 drop in Colts score simply based on their performance slot. Dont want to see that happen though!

No way to tell really. Hard to know what kind of membership they would have today and what kind of financial situation they would be in. Use the Cavaliers now as an example... Consistent top 3 corps that dropped to 8th in one year because of various factors. That could happen to any corps. There are a few on that list that you would hope to see still in it but ya just dont know. I do still wish Star was around. Man could you imagine the shows they would potentially be putting out there.

If you cant find one in DCI, there is always DCA. Some quality groups you can get into if they are in your area.

This will be year 4 if I remember correctly. Would love to make it out there one of these years.

I dont think they are as dirty as people make them out to be but thats a matter of personal opinion. I just think the 3-4 corps below them have an easier shot at taking away 4th from SCV than SCV has a shot at taking a medal spot from one of the current top 3. Its not a knock on SCV but more a nod to the top 3. SCV has one of my top 3 personal favorites of the year and Id love to see them squeeze into 3rd but I just dont feel it likely.

I dont see it happening sadly. As much as I love the show, I dont think they can take it as far as the top 3 and could possibly peak a little early. Not a whole lot going on in that show. I think its more likely for the 5-8th place corps to take a stab at 4th.

There are cool things about lot performances but the shows are better. For finals weekend each year I watch lots in the park either Quarter or Semifinals night and have a ticket to finals. I dont prefer to watch lots over the show but when you already spend that much money on hotel,food,gas,tickets,etc... you make the most of it and go to lots. Its free and its a good chance to see some corps you wouldnt otherwise get to see. I dont consider myself a faker bando, either. It is still drum corps after all. I personally just dont agree with the OP. Demanding a corps change something that they already let you see for free is just selfish and rude.

So how would that work at a show with 6-7+ corps? Corps that go on later would have to end rehearsal early so they can warm up sooner. Warm up areas would be PACKED with corps and those later corps would go on cold.

I rather have them warm up in such a way that will prepare them to have a good show.

Whats the deal with them? Dont they usually have 40+? Is it written for that many or do they have a bunch of holes?

Only thing I have heard is a handful of hornline holes. Am I missing something?
