  1. I want to see if they can push their visual packages like they did.
  2. I demand an all Cavies tournament. Thanks I somehow missed that.
  3. I also noticed diamonds.... maybe they are doing something with the diamond cutter??
  4. Wait, I just realized something..... was Cavies 1990 or 1991 on the original list?
  5. I have some horrible news to share..... I just found out this morning that my high school conductor, Mr. Paul Worosello has esophagus cancer. This man pushed me to limits that I didn't know I had. He never gave up on me and even hired me to work for him during the summer in 2011. This is a BIG hit for our music community.
  6. They need to hurry up an announce where the Houston show is going to be located.
  7. I am pleased lol! He just needs to tell the pit to lower the amps and we are good.
  8. Correct. Putting aside my extreme Cavies self, I think it's fair. There was a tie for first which makes, in a sense, 3rd place the kinda sort of 2nd place corps.
  9. I know I'm not the only person watching the heck out of Cavies shows. I just watched 1989 and 1990... gosh, I wish I was there in person to see these shows.
  10. Rumor has it that everyone is actually marching with contras this season.
  11. Tuba!!!!!! Lol! Thank you for the awesome update!
  12. oh hey! I wonder who was playing the bass clarinet during this performance. Lol!!! This piece was fun to play, but we were tired of playing it. We debuted it at CBDNA the previous year and debuted it at TMEA. But there is some DCI show potential. Edit* I feel like a jerk for saying this but please forgive the clarinet section (not the bass clarinets, we rocked it). It sadly wasn't their best performance.
  13. Cavies 92, 95, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008. Yeah, I didn't get a chance to see The Cavaliers in 2008. I really wish I did....
  14. I believe The Cavaliers will someday... again lol But I'm also very biased lol!!!
  15. I hope they do announce where soon as well... I want to get some tickets for some family that live in that area.
  16. It was scheduled to be used in 2020... but it wasn't due to the Rona
  17. I really considered starting a thread. It's not just the Houston show, but there are others. If I had to guess, Tomball probably pulled out at thr last second. Not sure as to why, but I really hope they announce something soon. I am getting a little impatient lol!! I got to do my budget for the show.... and I need my dose of Cavies lol!!! Edit* They could move in up here to Huntsville. I would still pick Bowers Stadium over the new Huntsville high school stadium (I drive past it almost everyday and it does look good). Better parking, and possibly more seats. Plus, more and more college students are staying in town to work and pay their apartment bills. So, there is an opportunity for my fellow music majors to see a show.
  18. Bump..... Is it bad that I have a timer set up for the Houston show? Lol!!
  19. Seeing Mackey working with Crown gives me some interest. I haven't been able to get into a Crown show since 2016 (they should have kept the original ending), but this is fantastic news for drum corps. Fun fact! When I performed with the Texas Junior College All-State band in 2011, John Mackey worked with us. It was an extremely fun experience and I had NO idea he was going to work with us. Another fun fact... every time I go to TMEA since 2011, we also bump into each other, like, a million times. It's become a "oh, it's this guy again. How's it going man!" Lol!!!! He is a great guy!
  20. Funny enough, a buddy of mine sent this to me a couple of days ago. Go Texan Day is on Friday btw lol
