    Tank.

That was BD straight up flexing on everyone.

It's like a football team being up 50-0 with two minutes left in the game, and they throw a 75 yd bomb for another TD..........because they can.

    Moon River.......Tank...........Game Over.

Except I wish they stuck with the original key when they played Tank last season.

If it was any other corps,  I would think somebody screwed up.  However,  this is the Blue  Devils, so it is probably them being all crafty and subtle.

Like I have been saying for decades, if they were to go out in their opening set and take a poop on the 50, DCI judges would say they were making a statement on the futility of one man's struggle in a byzantine society.

If Boston or Bloo did that,  they'd say "get a shovel!"

LOL!  But seriously,  good luck in 2024 BD!

People still make mistakes.... like how the Houston show location supposed to be announced in February.... but, ya know.....

  3. There were a couple of coworkers that asked me what was going on with The Cadets..... I gave them the cliff notes and they were upset.

In a way, this is like a Shakespeare story. Hopkins is responsible for pushing show design to high levels, winning championships, and folding arguably one of the greatest corps.

I honestly have complete understanding for the ladies that were affected by this and don't blame them.

As I matured, I grew to like this corps..... I think it's important to still remember the great times. It just stinks that this happened....

But I have to ask.... just why though? In my eyes Hopkin lived my dream. Why would someone do such a horrible thing and create such chaos?

  4. I just.... man......

I was at work and I actually announced over the intercom that The Cadets folded. I knew that most didn't know who they were, but I said it anyways.

One of my bosses wanted to know more as to why I announced it... so I told her....

I bleed kelly green. The Cavaliers will always make me go nuts. But I respect The Cadets. I understand why they folded, but gosh darn it.... this is horrible.

I’m just not sure of anyone that could create a visual package to go with a modern machine show other than Gaines.

I know we’ve been lucky to have Gaines back in the activity the last few years. But dang the man needs to start training some prodigies.

    Sign me up!

Yeap. 2006 Cavalier is one of a kind show in drum corps history! one of my all time favorite from them. They could revisit the idea for today's designs style of shows in the Cavaliers way. They don't even have to try topping 2006, or measure up to it, all they have to do, is just make it fresh and new, interesting, entertaining and captivating for  today's standard of shows. I'd give anything to see that.

I want to see if they can push their visual packages like they did.

Interesting. Looking to me like it's probably a show about AI? Glowing gray eyes with a metal face kinda narrows down the options.

Genesis' show was about that last year, but Cavaliers could do something very different with that concept. There's been a ton of progress made with AI since last year, so there's a lot of ways you could be creative with incorporating AI into the show - especially on the audio side of things. You can make any voice say or sing anything you want these days.

Well, whether it's AI or not, looks like they're aiming higher on the GE side of things this season.

I also noticed diamonds.... maybe they are doing something with the diamond cutter??

  8. I have some horrible news to share.....

I just found out this morning that my high school conductor, Mr. Paul Worosello has esophagus cancer. This man pushed me to limits that I didn't know I had. He never gave up on me and even hired me to work for him during the summer in 2011.

This is a BIG hit for our music community.
