Roy, don't forget that there is still one more step that needs to be taken to determine the performance order. Each group of 3, 1-3, 4-6, 7-9. 10-12, etc, will then have a drawing withing their group of 3, to determine their performance order. So the Blue Devils, who will have the highest average score, could end up going on third from last and the corps that places 4th could end up competing sixth from last. So looking at the best and worst case scenarios, the corps that finishes with the third highest score could go on last and the corps that finishes with the fourth highest score could end up going on sixth from last. That's a big difference for an average score that may be just a few hundredths of a point apart. I've always wondered, when do they do these drawings and who, if anyone, is witnessing their results? Do all of the corps managers get on a conference call, or now maybe a Zoom call, and watch while ping pong balls or numbers are pulled out of a hat. What's the process and can we confirm that the process isn't rigged??? That's the question that I'd like to have answered.

Who was doing the encore tonight? It couldn't have been Phantom Regiment. The Contras were STANDING!!! They weren't using stools. I thought it was in their contract that if you played Contra for the Regiment you got to sit on a stool during all encore performances.

Nightly Architecture Report The building across the field is asymmetrical - on purpose. The stands across the field WAS symmetrical until they decided to add more stands on the right side across the end zone. Enjoy the perspective!!!

I only watched the Blue Knights. It seemed to play fine for 3 beats and then it would hesitate for one beat. Then play fine for the next 3 beats and hesitate again. At least it was consistent. And since it was the Blue Knights it made me think that they were doing 3 regular steps and then they threw in their old preparation step. When they would throw a flag, it would spin normally for three beats and then freeze for a beat and then continue it's rotation. If I wasn't able to see the humor in the situation I would have been really upset with the quality. Glad the Wisconsin show wasn't like that. I might try watching a little of the rebroadcast tonight to see if it effected the whole broadcast.
