Could they not come up with something to clad those "props" with... anything?

Those windmills remain a distraction for me... always out of synch.

or they could just have a horn play that part (like the olden days)....

No more drums on the coach... also have they taken the "crown stagecoach company" off of it too?

Are those silks just solid red?

Have they added that box between the 30 & 35 on stage right and moved the fiddle player up to the front.... so what's on top of the big wedding cake now.

Folks can go into Photoshop and "monkey" with the colour settings and remove any such markings... what's the point of doing this to start with if the judging is truly impartial, non biased, and based on the performance of the day?

The Tempest is set on a remote island, where the sorcerer Prospero, rightful Duke of Milan, plots to restore his daughter Miranda to her rightful place using illusion and skilful manipulation. He conjures up a storm, the eponymous tempest, to lure his usurping brother Antonio and the complicit King Alonso of Naples to the island. There, his machinations bring about the revelation of Antonio's lowly nature, the redemption of the King, and the marriage of Miranda to Alonso's son, Ferdinand.

I'm not saying they don't do it well... the music, the drill the guard unis etc. is a re-tread year after year for the past 5 years or so.

BD show, year after year, is the same thing just repackaged...

Props are required, why not replacement buses...

Why didn't they just make that grey area of the uni top sparkle fabric too....

I think it's time for Cesario to stop being the "creative director" of DCI and the designer of many of the unis... it's all starting to look the same...

Are props "mandatory" in OC this year too?

The whole thing reminds me of a rehash of LD Bell HS Band from the past 5 years or so...

Maybe the "promise" is to get rid of the "props" which add nothing to the show. I'm sure they plan to wrap them or something, but even if that's the case what could they do to them that would add anything.
