Someone please correct me, but I think it happened once last year. I'll see if I can find the scores.

Yeah--it's hard enough keeping track of time zones and which states/counties ignore Daylight Savings Time. But this year, I've got a Corps travelling out West, so I don't get any sleep waiting for scores. Gonna be an interesting season!

I think I'm allowed to say this since "my" Corps are competing elsewhere: Go Xmen! Go Troop! Heck--I like all these Corps! Everyone have a great show tonight!

I don't like to hear things like this. Those kids work SO hard and then to stumble during a show. Breaks my heart!

I don't think you can do that with the mobile version. You might try viewing the forums using the full version (link at the bottom of the page), but that might be hard to work with on an iPhone. Good luck!

Yeah, my wife texted me a photo of Troopers and the sun was directly behind the Corps. Maybe will be gone for SOA, Cavies, and Bluecoats.

What hashtags are you using?

OK--maybe the new format of the recaps is confusing me, but if I read this correctly, Crown was scored highest in General Effect - Visual (at 15.3) with Music - Percussion next (at 15.0). Is that right? Did their percussion score higher than their brass? Or, is it because of a partial panel, brass wasn't separately judged? (If I recall correctly, the shows out West tend to have full panels before the Eastern shows. Maybe a full panel tonight? Or maybe Stanford?) Anyway, here's to an exciting season. Go Crown!!!!

I got the following from Crown's FB page (times CA local): 6.50 Warmup 8:50 Gate 9:01 Perform Crown performs 3rd from the end, followed by BD and SCV. BD's website shows BD performing at 9:18 (CA time).

Just to be sure we're all on the same page: how are we defining "traditional"? I could see it going in several directions.

The topic of the heat has come up a few times. I asked my son about it and he said it wasn't so much the heat as the dust. So, I guess it really is a DRY heat. BTW: Recaps are broken again, but I fully expect they will get things sorted out soon.

I've seen Spirit's full show twice now (guard not yet in costume). I'm not saying they will beat the Cavies or Bluecoats, but watch out. They have a VERY good show this year (again).

Recaps are fixed now. We'll see how it goes.

Recap pages: Ignoring that not all the Corps are listed, what's with the "total" scores. For example, Crown has a reported final score of 73.2. On the Recap, this is their "Sub-Total". Their "Total" score is 65.8 good for only 2nd. Think there are some early season kinks to work out on the DCI score pages?

But, DCI did invest in some faster pigeons.

Glad to hear this! My Drum Corps fix wouldn't be complete without scores.
