Blue Devils go undefeated for a 3rd straight year.
The Cadets trail Bluecoats all season and "repay" them for 2014 on Finals night.
Mandarins get a win over Boston at some point during the season before falling back behind them.
Blue Stars try another very difficult show again and place 13th for at least one regional before cleaning it up to end in the bottom 1/4th of Finals. Despite this, I once again find myself in the minority of loving their show.

As we know, Blue Devils in 2014 won the season with a record shattering 99.650. But is this statistically the best show of all time?
To figure this out, I wanted to figure out how close each corps came to perfection in the eyes of the judges on Finals night. Looking at 2014 BD again, their 99.650 was out of a possible 99.725 given out to judges in 2014, with a few of BD's points taken from SCV's percussion section. Lowering the "perfect" 100 down to this base level of 99.725 given out on Finals night, we have a new adjusted score of 99.925, which isn't bad for the second highest score under this system.
Wait, second best? What could be better than Felliniesque??? Way back in 2005, The Cadets fully swept every caption at Finals, earning them a perfect 99.150 out of a possible 99.150 points given out on Finals night. Slightly behind 2014 Blue Devils, we have 2018 Santa Clara Vanguard rounding out this new top three with 99.924.
I did the math so no one had to, so I have every Finalist between 1990 and 2023 rescored with this system. Here are the LOS Champions adjusted for this new scoring system (actual score divided by highest score possible on Finals) if anyone is interested:

I own media from 1990 to present and have a spreadhseet to include all scores of this time frame. Here is how tonight plays out in terms of this time frame (between 1990-2023)
Blue Knights (86.375) 324/384 overall, 4th highest 12th place
Blue Stars (88.625) 274/384 overall, highest 11th place
Troopers (89.475) 257/384 overall, 2nd highest 10th place
Colts (90.263) 238/324 overall, 3rd highest 9th place
The Cavaliers (92.125) 192/384 overall, highest 8th place
Phantom Regiment (92.988) 171/384 overall, 3rd highest 7th place
Mandarins (93.775) 154/384 overall, 4th highest 6th place
The Cadets (94.313) 140/384 overall, 12th highest 5th place

In case anyone was wondering, the high score record for 7th is 94.050, and I would not be surprised to see someone break that tonight.
It's just going to be a shame that someone has to get 7th...

But wow, this show is amazing and has been growing on me and just won't stop. I love this show.

Sadly can't go in person this year, but debating between AMC Ford City, Yorktown, and Oakbrook in the Chicago area.

I don't know this show and what happened on Semis well enough to confirm for sure, but it sounds like they fixed Spirit's audio.
