  1. Michael E. Schmidt is now claiming he saved Spirit of Atlanta back in 1994. No doubt he believes he belongs in the hall of fame.
  2. I see what you did there ;)
  3. It's at least possible Mapex may have done manufacturing for Tama in the past. Some Taiwanese musical instrument companies got their start manufacturing instruments for other brands. Though there seems to be no evidence of such a relationship between Mapex and Tama, such relationships weren't always well publicized.
  4. I think it says something that marching bands were used for testing...
  5. Looks like Tama marching drums are for real.
  6. One has to wonder, was your band director afraid you would somehow forget how to read music in drum corps?
  7. http://schmidt-faq.blogspot.com/ That web site doesn't even begin to scratch the surface, but it's a start.
  8. Yes, having Michael E. Schmidt on staff is a sure sign of failure.
  9. Feel free as long as you include a proper attribution to drum-corps.net.
  10. I vaguely remember SCV marching 14 snares in 1980. The also had 8 quads (4 low and 4 high).
  11. Those are light colored replacement keys. The rest of of the keys are dark. The keyboard in question is a marching xylophone.
