Yeah Hurcs!

I know when I go out to retreat I usually can feel the weight of a tough season lift from my shoulders as we line up. It's a weird frame of mind to be in. I'd cut those kids some slack, a bit of loopyness is to be expected at that point. The Hurcs organization is a class act. A little over emoting at retreat doesn't change that.

I was really glad that I was able to go to this show. I loved playing that show when I was in junior corps so try to support and go when I can. I thought all the corps were great and there were some dynamite performances for sure. Something's been bugging me though...I gotta say I wasn't a fan of the 'instant encores'. Some of them were cool but more often than not I found myself sitting there in dismay as the mystique of some pretty bass ### drum corps was rapidly stripped away by bando theatrics. Just my 2 cents, not bagging on the kids as I thought the shows were fantastic.

Here's the latest from the NWS: Saturday Night...Tropical storm conditions possible. Cloudy with showers likely. Locally heavy rainfall possible after midnight. Humid with lows in the upper 60s. Southeast winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph...increasing to east 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 55 mph after midnight. Walk proud indeed. A Hurricane is going to win this weekend either way is my prediction.

I thought it might be fun to start a thread for people to post lot videos from the 2010 season. From my vantage point on the sidelines it sounded like 2010 was a good year for DCA drumlines all around so I imagine there has to be some good footage out there.
