  1. The Kingston Grenadiers Announce Lansing Dimon as Drum Major for 2011 Lansing began his drum corps involvement with the Syracuse Brigadiers in 1994. He has over 25 years in the marching activity, and has instructed, consulted, designed and arranged in the marching musical activity since 1994 working with several high school field bands, college bands, drum corps and winterguards. Additionally, he has served in administrative and leadership positions on several boards of directors for alumni and fraternal organizations throughout his professional career and has higher education experience in student affairs, residence life and student programming. During his 17 year tenure with The Brigadiers he has marched baritone, mellophone, soprano, served as an assistant drum major and has served on the Board of Directors as President and Vice President. Along with continuing to work with the Brigadiers Alumni, Lansing is currently on staff with the Kingston Grenadiers as a brass instructor, having started at the end of the 2010 season. Lansing is a 1994 and 2005 graduate of Syracuse University, where he earned his B.M. in Music Education, M.S. in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation, and M.S. in Music Education. When not involved in his studies or work, he continues to develop his skills as a composer and musician (both instrumental and vocal) and integrative educator, exploring the use of technology and development of instructional media in music education.   2. Grenadiers envahissent le Québec - Camp de Montréal L'ecole Coeur a Coeur 799 Montee Lauzon Rr 1 Saint-Eustache QC, J7R 4K3 ... L'école ouvre ses portes vendredi à 20h. Le camp débute samedi de 10h30 @ 22h00. L'horaire du dimanche est de 9h00 @ 15h30. Performance du spectacle à 15h00 pour tous. Ateliers et cliniques auront lieu durant la fin de semaine pour permettre à tous et toutes de jouer d'un instrument aux côtés des membres de Grenadiers et ainsi initier les nouveaux à l'acivité ou mieux familiariser les autres avec l'évolution du "drum corps" d'aujourd'hui! C'est une invitaton à ne pas manquer, et ce, gratuitement! ------------------------- School opens Friday at 8pm...camp starts Saturday 10:30am to 10pm.....Sunday 9am to 3:30pm. Run through at 3pm for everyone Workshops and clinics are going to go on throughout the weekend to allow everyone to play an instrument besides Grenadiers members! This will be to initiate new people to the activity or just help others understand today's drum corps and the way we do things! It's an invitation you don't want to miss, and, absolutely free!
  3. The Kingston Grenadiers are pleased to announce the addition of Leigh Hadjis to our Visual Design Team Leigh Hadjis has been involved in the Drum Corps activity since 1989. She has marched with several Ontario Drum Corps and finished her marching career with the Bluecoats. She began teaching colour guard in 2000 with the Emerald Knights. She served as the caption head and designer for the Dutch Boy Drum Corps from 2001-2008. In the winters, she ran the Dutch Boy Winterguard from 2002-2005 and then joined the Ventures Winterguard team in 2006, and was there through the 2009 season. In 2010, she did some consulting for the Northcoast Academy Drumline. Most recently, Leigh has spent the last two summers as a Colour Guard Technician for the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps from Canton, Ohio. Leigh is going into her 7th year of teaching in the education system and is currently a drama, dance and physical education teacher for the Peel District School Board. She has her Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology Degree and a Bachelor of Education Degree. She also teaches various dance classes and workshops around the GTA.
