  1. I had no idea the Cadets would be rehearsing at the HS. Any idea when rehearsals finish? Before 5? I'm wondering if I might catch the end of it before they pack up for the show.
  2. Unbelievably, I've never been so unfortunate as to encounter a rain-out. There's a chance of storms for the show tonight....what if it does? Will they cancel, or just wait 'till the storms pass? If they do cancel, what happens to our tix? Refund or no? I'm taking a freaking bus in from NYC, so my schedule and wallet are pretty tight for the evening....I would hate for this to get complicated by weather.
  3. Massachusetts invades South Carolina. Seriously though, this is huge news. Thom has what it takes to turn their drumline into one of the best next season, which definitely has ranking implications...very interested to see where this goes, and what Crown comes up with show-wise now...
  4. If it wasn't already obvious it was a home show for the Cadets, the people behind me made it known....never in my life has an audience been more obnoxious. To a point where I couldn't hear the corps. It was a fantastic night though! I feel like the major improvement was with Phantom. The level of intensity and performance seemed to skyrocket since Allentown.
  5. I have been glued to this page for the past 2 hours, lol.
  6. Via the Cadets facebook: "SPECIAL WEATHER BULLETIN FROM THE CADETS THE TOUR OF CHAMPIONS GRAND FINALE AT NEW MEAODWLANDS STADIUM IS A GO! We have been in contact with a representative at the weather service and we expect some challenges this evening in Allentown. For Sunday, heaviest rain will occur in the early day. Just in case, we have made arrangements with the stadium and can delay the start if necessary and all of the corps are willing to do whatever it takes to give you a great show. See you there!"
  7. Seriously, anyone have any idea how the rain proceedings go? Would they delay the show? Or would they just cancel altogether? And when could we expect a decision?
  8. And i'm about 10 minutes east of the Stadium....raining here too. Let's hope it dissipates before 6:30.....any chance they'd just delay the show an hour or so?
  9. At what point will they make the call? I'm so ###### I paid for a second hotel tonight....$140 down the drain.
  10. Woah. And the show just got 10x more interesting. Thank you!!!
  11. So I've only been able to watch shows thus far on the Fan Network. I'm heading to Allentown tomorrow. I pretty much understand the concepts behind all shows this year...except for the Cavies. So what exactly is this show about? What are they exploring? I'm getting a very "modern ballet" sort of vibe and structure from the show, but I think watching it onscreen is inhibiting my ability to understand the theme/story and artistic direction of the show. The choreography and use of masks is very interesting. And obviously the recorded segment is vital to what's being portrayed. I also see of a lot of "solo" visual elements in the drill, where one, two, three, or four people will be doing something different than the rest of the corps. Help? Thoughts?
  12. That's what I sortof suspected. And makes total sense.
