  1. yes, Sayre, still s(t)uck in Belgium I do like the idea of Alumni corps, but I wish there were more challenges for a guy like me. I mean in the competitive circuit. I guess I'll have to wait til I can reorient job-wise and be able to spend another summer in the U.S. In the meantime I'm teaching, but it's hard to scream in the desert that is Belgium.
  2. Hi, I was wondering; because of work there's no way I can march in the summer at the moment. But I was wondering if there was anything, drum corps- or indoor- related, to do in the winter? Problem is, I'm 26 years old. And it looks like WGI will continue their age restriction. Are there circuits around that don't have an age restriction, besides DCA obviously.
  3. France has quite a drum corps "scene" too, a lot of marching band are doing the socalled "corps style" (actually hate that therm, cause it makes no sense...every MB is "corps style" in US). Italy has also a few marching bands (Millenium band has excact same uniform as cavies), but I really don't know what they are doing there. It might be just to promote drum corps in countries where it isn't that popular. Now, I don't know why they aren't going to Holland, Germany or GB but like you said, it might be sponsoring (actually, Kerkrade is Holland). Anyway, Europe is a small continent so it ain't that far to Kortrijk or Kerkrade...
  4. Looks nice Marco, you're becoming more and more a European circuit...Like on championships we had corps from Netherlands, Uk, Germany, France, Sweden,... That's pretty impressive! Keep up the good work!
  5. Hi, can anyone tell me more about the "international division". I can't find information about it on DCI.org. I need info about it and wich corps are competing in it?
  6. http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/artman/publ...icle_1115.shtml There are more pictures on this website if you're interested, not a good quality because we weren't allowed to use a flash light...
  7. Lol, are you a volulunteer to translate?? :P
  8. It would be great to see some "international" corps competing in DCI. Still, I don't think there will ever make Division I. It 's some kinda problem here in Europe. People underestimate Division II&III or DCA and think it's "low" to perform there. But mostly, these corps kick their ### on the field!
  9. Thanks for the post man! They look great.
  10. Normally a website should be at least in Dutch and English...Belgium's a bit special, so in theory our website should be in the 3 official +1 officious languages, that's French, Dutch, German and English...
  11. http://www.drumcorps.org.uk/ Drum corps Europe's english page has now added a news sections with news in english too, check it out!
  12. '89 SCV: after the first time I watched it on video I had to sit back for at least 10 minutes to recover...that was just the most awesome closer ever in DCI history!
