  1. I would have marched '79 Guardsmen. Fourth in horns, seventh overall. Seeing how things turned out in the long run , I could have waited to get married.
  2. Now he wants to go. I'm gonna have to get drunk at BW3 during the break to forget about my headache after round one.
  3. We were all told Friday that everyone would be judged on DCA sheets. At least on Saturday night. Who knows?
  4. Sounds like Govies are improving alot. GREAT! I think it's important to look at the spreads and not the actual scores. I think Blue Stars score of 76 fits well in context with the other scores.
  5. the '78 line was very loud too. I remember warming up near them at GA tech that year. Holy ####.
  6. Congrats to you and him! Take it from another parent. You really have to ignore some of this stuff. I've had people I marched with tell me things like "junior corps sucks" or "I don't like Cap Sound". I had to bite my tongue (I almost bit the ###### thing off!) but I never gave them the satisfaction of a response.
  7. Yikes, I had almost erased that from my memory. That was just awful.
  8. I recommend '79 Guardsmen HIGHLY (no I did NOT march that year, '78 was my last year) You will hear some awesome horn playing from all sections.
  9. Rick Moss. Best baritone player I ever heard in drum corps. And I had the privilege (and I mean privilege) of marching with Rick in 1978.
  10. Thanks for the review. I would be drawn and quartered had it been written by TerriDitt57. I had some problems myself with the visual program of SW when I saw them in Normal. I have to agree, it is only partially performance issues. I am looking forward to SCV. A lot of friends of mine in Renegades think I'll love them!
  11. I'll chime in for Pooh Bear too. and for two guys I marched with: Dale Warren and Rick Moss, late '70's Guardsmen. Rick is the guy who played the terrific solo in "Tiger of San Pedro" in '79. I still think he is the most awesome baritone player I ever heard. (and a fabulous trombone player)
  12. Sounds like it's getting cleaner. quote=clayjn,Jul 18 2004, 01:17 PM] 73.450 Southwind AGAIN a show the judges are not giving credit to .. lots of power, energy. but the judges must be sipping cherry and waiting for the bigger corps to look at. the drums rocked the horn line was great .. the drill was so so no real risk moves in the show.. but i liekit a lot....
  13. Well you didn't hear it from moi but I'm sure you could find that on kazaa. I'm positive in fact........ (Secret Agent woman)
