I remmber Les Dips having that problem last year when they came down to do the Barum Festival .But from what i remmber in conversayion with them it had more to do with the fact they told the border people they where being paid to perform ,they held all there eqiutment at the border they could pick it up on there return .They should have never said they where being paid to perform.LOL

Really bad news to hear ,the ownly Canadian corps in DCA ,Looking at your web site it looked and sounded like we where in for a really great corps coming out of Canada ,can ownly wish you the best and hope to see you back real soon .You'll surely be missed ,i for one always loved your shows . Sorry to hear about the Grenadiers there already booked in a few shows with DCA i guess that will change soon .I know as an exSunriser now living in Florida ,,the reason for my move was i could no longer afford to stay living on Long Island ,the rents where killing me there .I had a 1 bedroom apt, in a not so nice complex out east.And now im renting a 2 bedroom townhouse in Jacksonville Fl. at half the rent i was paying in New York .And so far loving the weather,left January 29,didn't think i'd be able to make the move ,one snow storm after another ,seemed like every 3 days another foot or more of snow .Had a 6 foot snowdrift out back of my apartment .But HELL or HIGH WATER i was moving .So here i am Florida SUN

Was going thur a storage container and came across a Tee shirt with the shark fin and a dophin on the front ,and a setting sun with plam trees on the back and in BIG BOLD PRINT __________HEAT____WAVE .Like i said i always enjoyed then when i got to see them at DCA .

What ever happened to HEAT WAVE ? always enjoyed there show.The Velet Knights of DCA enjoyable music ,fun to watch and fun to perform .

A loss of any corps hurts all corps,but i understand the reasons behind it and look forward and wish them the best in 2012

I couldn't agree more with your comments ,when i went to DCA preliums i went from start to finish .Some great shows in class A ,but every corps puts out the best they have that day ,and isn't that what its all about .Now having moved to Florida from eastern Long Island i'll miss seeing my excorps back on the field this year ,they made the move back to Long Island and from what i hear its begining to pay off.Give them time to grow and they will be back in open class .Wishing them the BEST this season .Im an older vet having marched Saint Cathrines ,QUEENSMEN for 4years and SUNRISERS 63,64,65,66,67,68 74 ,80thur 83 and back to help in 2007 .I hope to catch the 2 DCA shows here and the DCI show in Orlando Proud EXSUNRISER Charles Cook [aka Chuck]

One other corps sitting the season out to regroup finances would be Sun Devils ,I hope to see them at least doing exbitions at the 2 DCA show's here in Florida .They could ownly benfit from the exposure in there own state .Love to see the DCA corps down here do an exbition in Orlando at Teal Sounds Show .

With Dca 's growning number of Class A corps it might want to rethink the Finals numbers 4 ClassA and 10 Open that ownly keeps one open class corps out of finals Cincinnati Traditions * High Country Brass * Excelsior * Govenaries * Gulf Coast Sound Shenandoah Sound * Fushion Core * So Cal Dream Vigilantes + White Sabers * Windsor regiment * Tampa Bay Thunder * Music City Legend+ Chop Inc Carolina Gold * Sunrisers * Grenadiers Kingston Grenadiers will not field a corps this year ,what a loss Derby City Knights + Thats a lot more class A Corps than Open Class Any more word on Arksansa Thunder or the Skyliners ? I know Sun Devils have taken a year off . Will not field this year +

Congrads to the Sunrisers on there return to the field ,looking forward to Les Mis .Welcome Tampa Bay Thunder and Windsor Regiment ,Was wondering what happened with Skyliners i know they also where being evaluated the same day as Sunrisers .Did they not past evaluations ? DCA is not the same without them .Such a shame not to see this great corps name as a come back.

Can't remmber paying $5.00 for any show ,this place should be a complete sell out at that price Queensmen ,55,thur 60 Sunrisers 63 thur 69 back in 74 and then again 80 thur 83 Director of Sunrisers 83 what a season Director of Bills Boys 84,85 back with Sunrisers 2007 as interim Director

As far as i know Sunrisers evaluation went very well ,there waitting on an offical letter from DCA before saying anything public .It will be great to see them back performing Les Mis .As for Skyliners have not hear a word about there evaluation but im sure it went just as well.Be great to see Sky back after so many years ,as for Sunrisers its been only one year off .To rebuild ,they have a new home in Brentwood ,Long Island and a close tie with a few of the completive High School bands in the area ,so they should start to grow as they become more know in the area,Its been to long since hearing [ on the starting line from Long Island ,New York the Long Island SUNRISERS ] what a great sound that has to it .

Row Q is up there ,but why you would consider not going is the question here DCI east is a much better show than the Meadowlands any day ?

What corps are returning this year ,i saw Chops is coming back and i know Sunrisers are back .But niether are listed for any shows yet? Are the Brigs and Rochester Crusaders back? Lots of new corps this year ,should be one hell of a DCA championship week end .Looking forward to seeing and hearing Tampa Bay Thunder thier doing 6 contest so far from Florida to Virgina .Also Windsor Regiment,N.J. is in the frist show of the season ,Cabs at the Beach.Another newie Ar.Thunder sounds promising .

Just moved from eastern long Island ,New York ,ex Queensmen ,L.I.Sunrisers .Bills Boys member surprised at some of the corps here in Florida
