  1. I've been checking everyday! You the biggest tease, my friend! :-) any update? Rumors maybe?
  2. hey this is cool, if everyone would just take a moment and cool down and enjoy some great teaser of the Scouts this year.
  3. I am fairly certain that he means he helped out with some behinds the scenes logistics preparing the corps for move ins. I know because there were no horns playing notes guard spinning and drums banging... haha I am sure he just was being a great volunteer. Thank you for your help btw!
  4. HE was really quite with us in 2010, but i do remember hearing him tell us that as well.
  5. Well, I am not too sure about this, and Mr. Felts please correct me if i am wrong, but their synth(s) players used alot of piano sounds in the show last year. I personally know of there being a "bassline" played in absences of the tubas but in terms of a synth making them sound louder than what they(we) really are: I personally think not. and Im not bashing you or anythng because you are a brother.
  6. From someone who is actually a member of the hornline, I know for a fact that we do not " FORCE" our sound out, only for effect purpose have we ever( See last note before Drum solo) used "forced" sounds. And i personally do NOT care who thinks we are loud, and who thinks we are not. Volume is all perception. I am trained to ALWAYS play with a good sound. Donnie's memorable quote and those who have worked under him would agree: "Always play with your best sound. Look good, and SOUND good. Now, I am not going to argue anything because it all doesnt really matter. I understand how you have explained your perception, however, I do not think that "forced" sounds is the word that best fits for the way I have understood your post. Now this is all my perception of your post, but i think you are saying Scouts have that unique "balls to the wall" sound. If that isn't right then maybe you are trying to say Madison Scouts have that "Madison Scouts" sound. Lastly, I am a normal drum corps dude, so from one normal person to another: I hope you are having a good day. I just got off work, so Im just catching up on my DCP before bed. Best Wishes.
  7. Hornline.... there is no doubt that this program is going to be amazing. There were some "wow" moments as well as "H*ll yeah!" moments. I am excited for the Men of Madison this year.
  8. Gosh, How i miss it when people could stay on topic.
  9. I think your trying to say that if the blue devils hornline was a woman, It would be Dolly Parton, heavy on the top. Accurate? lol
  10. I do hear the same chords from year to year.... just saying. Perhaps its not the sake of lets uses the same chords as last year, but perhaps its just Klesh's ( as well has the hornline's) signature chords. I often hear the same chord progressions from corps year-after-year, but it, to me, is just that arranger's or hornline's style.
  11. I didnt think anything was wrong with the brass book. Especially ESOM
  12. I am not sure. im only a youngin.... but is it possible that BD won it finals night, but the "high brass" was an average between the three nights back then which was a 3 way from what i have heard? Note: I am based all on hear-say, which is why i made it a question not a statement.
  13. The products wants to speak to me... When I hear the music, i cant help but hear the words: " this is really cool" inside my head. Does that mean the product is speaking for itself, through me? hahaha
  14. From what i have gathered from friends marching, the members are focused on showing up this year. Less hype, more suprise.
