The shows that did not translate well over the live feeds were Madison and Phantom. Of course, these were easily the two crowd favorites at finals so the crowd energy was amazing. I did not like the Madison show until I saw it at Semis. It is now a favorite.

There were 2 Boston snares that went down. I saw one, but heard the age out talking about the bad run because of the 2 snare falls afterwards.

I knew that and fixed it. I suppose there are more than one of them... lol

Definitely not the case live. The biggest let down (and definitely not a worthy one) was from Madison to BK.

I got to see 9 hours of drum corp today!! Fan favorites by ovation from where i was: Scouts, Phantom, Cavies, Crown, Cadets If I was the judge it would go: Cavies Bd Cadets Phantom Crown Bluecoats Madison Blue Knights SCV Blue Stars Spirit Congrats to Spirit for making finals! Blue Stars -- I do not get reborn from what I saw on the field. Sounded good. Madison -- Holy cow the energy they drew from the crowd was amazing. I did not like this show n the fan network, but I do now. BK -- This is one of my favorites of the year. But going on after Madison, with the crowd reaction, was almost a let down. Boston -- I did not think the white material worked any better in person than it does on fan network... but what a beautiful solo. Bluecoats -- Creep was one of the highlights of the evening... do not remember much afterwards. SCV -- 3rd time seeing it and I just do not like the concept. There was very little reaction to this show. Phantom -- Beautiful and Clean. Second goose bumps of the night. Crown -- Did not like Rach Star on Fan Network, but I am warming to it like, It is fun, it is overdone, but it is great to listen to! Cavies -- Loved it. I thought they were the best of the night. BD -- Sounds good and they are clean, It is a shame that there is no response from the audience to the Devils... Their music is fantastic this year. Cadets -- They have a championship show and have it cleaned up since I last saw it. I also thought that the Cascades were much better than their finish! :) My favorite DCI moments of the night: Madison end Phantom - entire program Cavies shenanigans Cadets fight BD I Say a little prayer Bluecoats Creep Troopers chord Crossmen cross Can't wait for tomorrow.

I have been a huge fan of SCV, I loved the 07-09 shows... but they have lost me the past 2 years. I am with you on wanting movement in the Top 7 as long as it does not have a negative effect on PR. lol. Maybe we are the problem. ... want to see something new, but do not want to hurt us.

That would be brilliant. Of course against everything PR represents as the classical presence in DCI... which I love.

I am talking about percussion relative to those in front of them (and the front ensemble has been consistently weak over the past few years).... they are solidly in 4th in the top u.2 behind Cadets, .4 behind Cavies, and .5 behind BD... this is up from 6th last week.... so yes, it is a problem with talking about Crown and a championship this year.... we are dealing with less than 2 points.

Guard and percussion are consistently keeping them down. They are the crowd favorite and have the best brass line... but 4th is becoming consistent this week. And while the Cadets and BD have closed the gap with the Cavies, Crown's has grown over the past week.

I think you said exactly what SCV"s show problem is... while there are a few that love the show and concept, there are more who are not connected to it. I saw it live twice earlier and both time did not connect and was a little bored (I hate to use that to describe any DCI event). We all know their percussion is awesome, but the show is lacking any wow. That being said, I can see BAC coming close to this show... though I think inevitable we have our top 7 in place. I think the 8th place will be a great battle and it is looking more and more like the top 3. Great drum corps year though! Hoping my travel plans allow me to catch finals!

Or CC is the 4th best show out there... no subbing or politics.

Fair Top 12. Biggest complaint imo is BK.

After a lot of hrs of drum corps... it is Blue Devils I come away humming. That is a first.

Cavies Cadets -.1 BD -.5 Crown -1.2

Growing on me... love the sound... not a fan of the visual portion. Percussion and guard have been the "issue" if you want to call it an issue... Percussion front seems to be the weak link in percussion and the guard looked like they had a rough night... more drops than anyone else in the top 6.

Still not sold on Crown... let's hope it happens tonight.
