  1. That is correct! Just left the show and we did pull an 89.95!!! Highest score in our history. Very proud of my team even though I'm not marching this year. Take THAT 'CV with an 81' prediction! ;-p lol.

  3. I have several piston rotar g bugles in various states of condition. Email me at mmiller@pnmtech.com for more info
  4. Just out of curiousity, does anyone know of solo or ensemble pieces that were written to include multi phonics?
  5. One thing I've always wondered (well recently), will DCA/DCI ever offer a 3D video? With today's relativley cheap technology, methinks that would be amazing to see! Thoughts?
  6. Just to clarify, i was posting this to get a ballpark fair value, not to sell them on here (though im not opposed to it) All the horns are Dynasty and from the 70's Madison Scouts if that matters, thanks to those that posted helpful info. I've sold a Sop Bari and French horn (playable good condition) to some of my fellow members that offered me 100 each which was why I was posting this because I didn't want to inadvertently rip anyone off (or undersell if they were worth like a fortune or something ;-)) again thanks for the info, I hope to have them professionally restored one day finds permitting to preserve their history. Anyhoo, peace out!
  7. Hi all, I have 14 piston rotor horns in varying conditions. Most need a little work, I was wondering what a fair price would be for each or all in bulk as I have received several request, and want to make sure I’m being fair to them and me price wise. Thanks for any input you may have (see attached links to Pics, there is one contra that didn't quite make the pic) http://pnmtech.com/horns1.jpg http://pnmtech.com/horns2.jpg http://pnmtech.com/horns3.jpg
  8. Prediction for next year: Blue Devils win 1st. 2nd and 3rd! lol
  9. I'm going to stick to my era and only comment on the 90's Worst Shows were: 1990-Blue Devils-Tommy (just didn't like it) 1991-Cadets again, just didn't get it. 1992-Phantom which spawned the most loved "I march with Phantom cuz I can't play jazz, I march with Phantom cuz I like Strait lines" (to 1812 for those that don't know ;-p) Though I have to give David St Angle MAD PROPS for flipping off the entire stadium on live TV during retreat when they announced Phantom in 8th, God if only Youtube were around back then! 1993-Glassmen 1994-SCV, the Red Poppy? Really? 1995-The Madison Scouts, they were just too #### loud that year ;-p j/k Though seriously, 95 was one of the few years were I could actually watch everyones show and not fast foward thru the boring ones, was a great year for drum corps! 1996- Tie for SCV and Cavies, I put those shows on whenever I'm having trouble going to sleep! 1997-Blue Knight, not a Ben Hur fan and it just wasn't my cup-o-tea (though that would have been a funnier comment for Crown that year doing a british show, but the 97 Crown show was my favorite crown show up until Rache Star) 1998-Colts, another snooze fest 1999-Everyone but BD, SCV and Cadets And with that I will bid you happy Friday now that I have exhausted my 3 hr lunch and I'm late getting started on organzing my paper clip collection. Thanks to whoever started this #### storm of a thread! lol
  10. A marching (King brand) contra weighs 29 lbs. As a Baritone player, (and methinks my contra brotheren would agree), for stregnth training, push-ups, lots of core excersises (pilates is good) b/c you use alot more than just your arms to hold the horn correctly. If you can beg borrow or steal a concert tuba if a convertable or contra isn't avaiable, practice holding it in front of you as if it were a contra. Also, being able to hold the horn is great, being able to hold the horn, run, and play is even better. Practice equal ammounts of strength and core training as well as cardio. Good Luck!!
  11. Nice review, thanks very much! I don't think people get how long it actually takes to do these and not make yourself sound retarted (which I failed at on my review! lol)
