  10. We found do not be afraid to move a few miles or in our case a few kilometers. We found the schools are more receptive and it is cheaper in a small town 10 miles west of Kingston. The schools in Kingston(city) proper were all to much $$$$ and we didn't have the proper space allocation. Our weekend is around 160.00 in our current location. Kingston high schools would be around 400.00 or better per camp.
  11. The client would then need a ticket on the "Hoser Express".
  12. Good news Mike. Stay tuned for this years production coming up real soon! See you at camp. For info and directions check www.kingstongrenadiers.com
  13. I checked that out on the weekend DA and she didn't deny it ...puttin it out there.
  14. Bingo Jeff! There is certainly more to consider than in prior years. For now in K-Town we will walk softly and carry a big stick.lol Cheers DLD
  15. Tried it and didn't like it right! We have Juice Russo in training. DA just loved this one.
  16. Just another fine example of a super organization. Attention to detail and support at every corner from volunteer to the product on the field. I had the pleasure of working with Bobby Jones this year and his vision has been a piece of the puzzle that has helped Grenadiers return to the field. Amy,Jimmy,Tom,Jay and the rest all the best at finals from North of the border. Cheers Don
  17. We have a Ford turbo diesel cube truck and a 21 foot featherlight trailer. We use the truck to tow the trailer as one unit. The trailer has electric brakes and works well with the truck. It does require that you screen folks and not let anyone behind the wheel. We maintain as you would your car and in Canada it requires an emmision test and safety every 2 years. The truck carries our battery stuff, guard and large bore brass. It also carries our scaffolding and podium along with uni stuff and heads etc.We sectioned everything off with 1/2 inch ply so everything has it's own custom space and is protected along with bungie cords that we buy by the pound!!!! The trailer carries the front pit ensemble and all the food and dry goods for the corps. We enjoy having the access of our own vehicle not to mention that it really helps with storage. We endeavour to keep any surplus stuff out of the vehicles to avoid clutter and maximize access. Hope this helps.
  18. Good Stuff Vic from the folks in the Great White North! See you soon. Cheers Don
  19. We are making some changes next year Fran but keeping the yellow we just cannot part with it. Don
  20. Dwayne It was our pleasure and we are very familiar with the troubles one can have on the road. Especially that far from home. I will be looking forward to seeing you and your fine corps at finals. All the best. Cheers Don
  21. It is a great line up Rick and I know of quite a few Canucks making the trip down for a great day of drum corps! I think the price and the formula is something outside the box and a sensible way to sell the activity. Good for you and the Brigs. Cheers Don
