  1. Doing some research on the Archer-Epler Musketeers. Why were the Musketeers disqualified in the prelims at the 1957 American Legion National Championships at Atlantic City ? The corps was in 1st place with a score of 87.68 according to DCX - Drum Corps Xperience.. Reilly Raiders were also disqualified . What happened? Was there a Finals competition? Thanks for you help. 2. I thought I saw Ken Norman standing next to my friend Scott Ditty (the one member who traveled from South Korea).
  3. Hi Kevin, looks like Brigs is wearing the uniform of the day for the Chinese New Years parade in San Francisco. http://www.renegades.org/media/photo/20060211/
  4. Really enjoyed the musical selections. Color guard uniforms also very nice. Great job Hurricanes. Nice to see my friend Scott Williamson doing his thing.
  5. Good job Govies!!! SF Renegades "trivia" - the first song ever played by the Renegades was MAGNIFICENT 7 in a parade in Clayton. Nice hear that song again by the Govies.
  6. Live streaming is working fine here in California. Looking forward to some entertaining corps. The last time I marched on that field was 2011 with the San Francisco Renegades. Good luck to all the corps!!!
  7. The Memorial G Bugle Jam for Pooh Bear was fun!!! We had interested players coming in and out of the Jam all afternoon. Here's a link to a video of the ensemble that played "You Never Walk Alone" at the finale of the memorial jam.

  9. Wow !!! all this talk about "7" and the Renegades right before DCA Championships. Iam loving it. Most of what the other posters have written is true. The early starters of the "Bay Area" Renegades did include Al Chan ( Cathay/Pinole Princemen), Brandon Wilson (BDB Drum Major/Drummer), Mike Rogala (Fulton Gauchos/Syracuse Brigadiers) and Mike Nash (Chevaliers /SSF Conquistador). The "San Francisco" Renegades moved onto the DCA stage when Lee Rudnicki (Crossmen, Garfield, SCV) enlisted the help of Chris Nalls (Knight Raiders, BD), Dave Watrous (Spirit of Sunnyvale, BD), Kent Cater (SCV) and many others. Back to the original post, the true meaning of "7" is something you have to experience as a member or a fan. Come check out the Renegades this weekend in Rochester ... then maybe "7" will have a special meaning for you.
  10. We started off the rehearsal at Site X "Wet" but we ended the evening "Wild" at Chevy's restaurant. Thanks to all the the alumni, "Renegades For A Day," members and instructors for making the 2011 CNYP another sucessful chapter in the Renegades history!!!
