  1. Yuck! “An organization that is listed as delinquent is not in good standing and is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds.” This does not look good.
  2. I can’t imaging a harder tuba part. So well performed! Just shows how incredible Crown is. Imagine being so spread out and having 80 horns sound like a symphony. AMAZING!
  3. As much as I love the Ohio 11th uniforms, I’d love to see a complete departure from the old west. Troopers should consider something completely different like the Bluecoats did in 2016. Troopers in name only. Do something totally fresh.
  4. Gotcha! Guess we’ll find out if we ever see the day they return. Now back to the discussion topic…
  5. The difference between 1 and 2-4 this year was design - not talent, instruction, or execution. For Crown and BAC, both corps need a show design re-think. They executed the heck out of their productions. But the contrast between them and BD was evident. As for Bluecoats, their design is becoming stale. They were a little too cute the first half of their show as brass played so little until the ballad. They killed the 2nd half but a little too late to top BD. At the top, it always comes down to show design.
  6. Agreed. Unless they file bankruptcy and have to dissolve all assets, they’ll be back. Vanguard has the resources to rebuild, whereas others (i.e Glassmen) did not.
  7. I hope you’re right. Crown is very deserving of the Silver. I’d love to see percussion in 2nd tonight to help with momentum for next season. Depends on the run and judging. Either way, a dynamite show this year for sure!
  8. ALL of Thursday's performances will be available live on FloMarching—including the portion being shown in theaters.
  9. With the exception of this past week, I have felt Crown’s percussion has been undervalued by judges. Hopefully the past week shows judges are finally crediting them appropriately.
  10. That’s wonderful news. I read their update. Hopefully the financials were CPA audited reviews and proves solvency. No doubt SCV has ample revenue streams to support the main corps at least. DCI is better with a healthy SCV.
  11. Wait a minute! Prelims on Flo? Whoa. I didn’t know that. I was going to go to the theater. Not anymore!
  12. I may be late to the party, but congrats to Crown for having the 2nd highest percussion score over the 2 days at Allentown.
  13. SMART! And, if more corps in the past would have done the same thing instead of spending to try to keep up with the Jones’, we’d have a few more corps than we do today.
  14. It’s just a feeling. Crown has really cleaned up their changes within the past week. You can see the beautiful pageantry of the show. To BAC’s credit, they’ve cleaned as well but seems to have done so earlier than Crown. I’m not saying BAC is maxed out, but my sense is there’s a few more drops in Crown’s tank compared to the rest of their competitors.
  15. If Crown’s percussion has the cleanest run of the season next Saturday (and judges give them credit for it), and brass continues its dominance with The Ott, and guard is super… and can stay within a hair of top GE, then don’t count out Crown for #1. It’s a lot if “ifs”, but Crown does have a path to the gold. This didn’t seem possible only 1 week ago, but it is now - in my opinion. IF EVERYTHING BREAKS CROWN’S WAY: 1. Crown 2. BD 3. BAC 4. Bluecoats Realistically, it probably won’t happen. Then: 1. BD 2. Crown 3. BAC 4. Bloo
  16. True. And the eye and ear test this weekend shows a tightening between them. Pretty cool on how shows progress and clean throughout a relatively short season. A testament to the mm’s and staffs.
  17. Two point difference was clearly the case in Atlanta. It was plain for all to see. In Allentown, no. You can see things are legitimately tighter between 1-4. indy is going to be a rush!
