  1. I still look back at my first year here in 2012 and am amazed by the progress we have made and I am happy that my own personal investment in this corps has paid off.
  2. We had plenty of cans of it still there when I swung by the booth, which was during the top 5 lol Just let me know how much you all want and I will put the word in on how much we should bring with us :)
  3. The biggest issues is just getting the directors in the southern Ohio, Northern, Kentucky, and southwestern Indiana to find value in it. We have had issues filling spots in the past, I'm not afraid to admit that. We do have members that drive from Indianapolis and the Northern Indiana area, as well as have had members from the Columbus area, and I personally drive up from Louisville, KY. I do have several of my own students showing interest for next year already, so maybe winning a championship is what it takes to change the minds of people to come out and join us. I would love to eventually get to open class, but I don't want to move up too soon though. I do appreciate everyone's congratulatory comments though. We worked hard for it and saw the fruits of our labor and are honored to be the first champion drum corps from Cincinnati.
  4. That might be it, but I can't be sure. It's been 2 years lol
  5. I can always go for some pizza! Maybe I can bring some by for you! lol
  6. Our practice site is Barnard Park. Kinda like small diner food, but really good. Reminds me of the small town in Kentucky i grew up in.
  7. There's a fantastic place to eat not far from Tradition's practice site I remember eating at last time I was up there 2 years ago. I can't remember the name of it though :(
  8. Cincinnati Tradition will be at Barnard Park 410 Maiden Lane Friday from 9-3, Saturday from 9-11:30, Sunday from 10-12 If you are on the Periscope app, I may get some live broadcasting going while we rehearse (depending on how my coverage is up there) go ahead and give me a follow @hyperparachute
  9. I'll make sure we have some there for you! lol

  12. Yamaha is the only choice for Bb, I can settle for Kanstul Bb also though
  13. Probably when the Jim Ott Brass Ensemble played there this year.
  14. Govenaires march Yamaha Bb horns
  15. 2008 Pioneer still had G, I was on tour in 2009 and they had King Bb horns that year.
  16. Sorry I haven't been around everyone, I have school work, band camp to teach, and working full time. Its a lot right now lol
  17. Not just DCI and DCA, but WGI took a big hit on it as well.
  18. Alliance is officially Class A, their show scores has them listed under that.
  19. When I was in college for euph, my professor started me on a King non-compensating (lacquer) and when he felt I was ready, moved me to a Yamaha compensating (silver) which I absolutely loved playing on, so that's what I would reccommend for a compensating horn for now, but I would definitely let his professor give him a horn first to start with.
  20. Fingerings are the same as a 3 or 4 valve horn, but you don't have the ability to play anything that requires a 3rd valve. So, open, 1st, 2nd, and 1st & 2nd valve combinations are the only notes you can play.
