  1. I'm gonna bump this again, hopefully more people will see it today and help out these one (or both) of these wonderful corps!
  2. Rob was actually the percussion tech at my high school, and I knew some of his kids quite well (including his son). They are a wonderful family, and it was a great tragedy. They are trying to get the word out there in an effort to heal, something I find to be very admirable through the difficult times.
  3. I think there are a lot to say about where they are sitting. I think the better seats are usually full of the older crowd, but if you go to the group/discount seats, I bet it's a lot more of a younger crowd. In all, I would say it seems to be a pretty big mix, without one overwhelming majority. But, I would point out that every time I ever attend one of the broadcast in the theaters, the number of high school aged to non high school aged is atleast 3:1. I'm assuming that's because it's easier to ask the parents to drive them to the local movie theater than to drive a couple of hours to a show.
  4. If the Troopers had the talent pool and resources that the Cadets had, I'm sure they could pull it off. Also, if the Cadets did a Christmas show every year, it would grow old. A western show every year would get old, IMO. Though, I do think they have tried to incorporate some sort of a "western" feel to their shows since 2007. But I do think they should have a sunburst per show. I mean, if I had a tradition like that, I would try my best to have one in each show in some capacity.
  5. It's already been said here, but it's important enough to point out again. Cadets got 4th last year in Minneapolis. And, if I remember right, I think only Phantom placed the same in Minneapolis than in finals. I think everything is going to shift, and I wouldn't be surprised if other corps get thrown into this "two corps race" too. At least, I hope some more enter it!
  6. Now that the corps have had quite a few shows under their belt, have they already made all of the significant changes? Will they try to make them this coming week? What week do you think is best to implement any changes? Of course, it's ideal to have a perfect show that fans and judges like from the get go, but, I was just curious what everyone's opinions are. Also, who knows what corps' shows should expect major changes before this week's regional?
  7. 7/7 Denver Blue Devils- 82.3 Phantom- 80.9 spread- 1.4 Jackson Crown- 83.0 Cadets- 81.5 spread- 1.5 Kalamazoo Bluecoats- 78.5 Scouts- 75.0 spread- 3.5
  8. So they won't be in the Denver show tomorrow?
  9. This was one of my favorite stadiums to perform in! I really hope it doesn't get rained out!
  10. Great to hear that the show was a success. Hopefully it'll become an annual thing! And yes, please write a little about those changes! :)
  11. Phantom? I didn't hear that either, but I'm sure he's in love with their show too. :)
  12. bump for Troop home show!! Anyone know the last time there was a show in Wyoming/Casper?
  13. I saw the Boston Crusaders in Provo, UT. The people I was next to kept commenting on how loud they were, and how straight their lines were. They were also all confused on what school they were from.
