  1. Definitely will but want to see the visual as well. Saw them three times live and on countless hand-held videos over the season but want the full HD effect with sound to match.
  2. I cannot begin to tell you how bummed I am Madison's not on there. I know they have to restrict it to just Finals participants but dang it!!
  3. Interesting, and hopefully positive, announcement concerning visual staff. Looks like only a couple (one?) staff members are back from last year. Definitely going to be interesting to see how the BD look/feel merges with the traditional stylings of the Scouts. http://www.madisonscoutslive.com/mainsite/2016/09/madison-scouts-welcome-jay-fuentes-visual-caption-head/
  4. My son attends GT and we've spent a good amount of time on/around the campus as a result. Parking on-campus is a nightmare during games there so folks park in other lots around downtown or use Marta (See! Somebody uses it!). Being an urban campus there just isn't a lot of space for corps to park buses and/or equipment trucks so I don't see it as a possibility (at least not as currently configured with all open/world class corps competing). Having said all that, Bobby Dodd is a great venue to host a drum corps show. It's just stuck in the middle of an urban campus.
  5. DCA example, but Sunrisers opener was loud from the get-go in 1985 (Adventures on Earth-Theme from ET).
  6. Tickets are gone. My apologies as I'm just seeing your note.
  7. Two tickets for Finals: Section 641 Row 6 Seats 9 & 10 Face value is $99 but am negotiable (within limits).
  8. Two tickets for Finals: Section 641 Row 6 Seats 9 & 10 Face value is $99 but am negotiable (within limits). Suddenly don't have a need for them and will need to meet at Scouts rehearsal site in Indy to pick up (thanks a lot StubHub...).
  9. Resistance is futile... Who knows? Maybe next year they can do a show titled "Coercion" and highlight how people have been forced to knuckle under to peer/organizational pressure over the years. How very edgy it would be...
  10. DCI judging is a joke. Scouts' score has remained stagnant over how many days while all other scores go up? Apparently they are the only ones not improving?
  11. Slightly different perspective in that we wanted this summer to be about our son and him having the experience of a lifetime without having mom/dad too close. Definitely not judging anyone who feels different and/or wants to spend more time with them. I did volunteer a couple days on tour when they swung around our part of the country, but tried to keep low profile while there (mostly shuttling staff around, running errands, etc.). Personally I had a blast while helping out and can now spot our son no matter where in the show they are from having seen it so much during rehearsal. The smell of diesel, sunscreen, and sweat definitely brought back a few memories!
  12. Madison Scouts is posted here but I'm sure it's the same for most/all corps: http://www.madisonscoutslive.com/schedule/
  13. Cadets. Attended the first camp for the 1987 show (held over Thanksgiving break weekend in 1986) and had a blast. Was nowhere near qualified to be marching with them, though, and had just met my soon-to-be wife that fall. If I had no restrictions (like lack of talent, spouse-in-waiting, etc.) I would've marched then as it was my age out year too. If looking at it today it would still be Cadets.
  14. This is consistent with what I'm hearing about all shows involved so I'm optimistic. If anything this may have served as a wake-up call to staff and marching members (not that I think they needed it, but a little extra motivation doesn't hurt anyone) to knuckle down, clean the changes, and execute the crap out of it during performances.
  15. You should be fine there. Judge's box isn't that far below you so you should get full impact of hornline plus, being higher up, actually be able to see drill. I've sat in a lot of different sections in the Dome and this is by far my favorite viewing point (and where we are this year, albeit in row 3 instead of row 1 like you). The only disadvantage is getting to/from the souvie stands from here as you've either got to take the slower-than-dirt/crowded elevator or take forever walking down the ramps.
  16. Re: finding out who's judging - I know some corps post the show sheets on their site (Scouts do anyway) so that's one place to find them.
  17. Weather.com doesn't have storm chances going up until after 11 so fingers crossed they got it right.
  18. Scouts had full outdoor I think (based on Snapchat postings). Hopefully they'll get this one in.
  19. Saw a picture of the corps from last night at dinner. Lots of jackets and sweatshirts...
  20. Appears to be now. Temps look like they're going to be in high 50s by show's end. Yeesh....
  21. Would you please purchase a Judas tour shirt for Scouts?
  22. Yeah, DCI yanked that video pretty darn quick. Oh well, at least I got to see them do the show in uniform for the first time and will get to see them live at least twice this year! #ResurgenceIsReal
  23. Low angle video from DCI West at Stanford. First time seeing them in uniform doing the show and, I gotta say, it's awesome! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJjwSl5_1zI
