  2. I saw I&E in San Antonio last year. It was great. There were a lot of spectators...especially for the percussion and the dance performances. Of course, those spectators were probably mostly corps members since that day was a scheduled free day for most of the corps. Anyway, I had a great time spending the day with my son and watching the shows. I would hate to see it go.
  3. BK - trail their horns in their left hand. Cadets - horn up/down...two-part move.
  4. It appears the rumor I heard some time ago was true and I am really looking forward to hearing their full drum corps arrangement.
  5. Awesome!! Another great show to see at DATR in July.
  6. I'm still rather new to drum corps things...thanks for that info.
  7. A tidbit from Blue Knight camp this weekend.
  8. A wonderful presentation. I thank you for going through the word involved to construct it.I'll have to leave the analysis, interpretation and judgment of your presentation to others who have more knowledge of past and present DCI judging. It is clear, though, that DCI does place more emphasis on visual than performance now-a-days. Whether that is a good thing or bad thing, I think, is up to subjective opinion. Personally, I don't have such an opinion. When I go to see a show, I'm more concerned with the entertainment value that I get. I think visual plays a greater role in that respect. From a Corps' point of view, though, I suspect they realize what you've shown and design their shows accordingly.
  9. I really don't have any idea who would make a good ninth member of the BoD, but I have a question for you Michael: Does this ninth member need to be a Corps Director?Perhaps the person could be from outside the activity?
