Plan 9 as a Scout alum I have never been more proud to be a Madison Scout Alum! Every year this corps pledges and performs their hearts out for fans all over the country. They may not get the highest scores or accolades from the judges or even some drum corps fans. But one thing is and always will be for certain, when the scouts come off the field, unless you're dead and not breathing, you will know that you witnessed a masterful job of entertainment at it's highest level! Thank you for your wonderful comments about my little brothers (the 2013 Madison Scouts). And, thank you Sir for your service to our country! And, May You Never Walk Alone!!!

I am a Scout alum and no doubt some of my brothers will say that I am selling out. But, at this point in the DCI game, I say take the road that leads to more esoteric, boring, fan unfriendly, very efficient shows. I want to see this organization with more championship rings!!! Who are we fooling, we want to win!!! While in Rome do as the Romans!!!

They're part of the G7 club!

We must not forget that the other two are in the G7! So, never say negative things against them, unless you are a part if the G7!

The only thing suspect to me about them being so close to bloo and possibly not catching them is that bloo is a part of the so called "G7".

I have to disagree with that. There is no way that the cavaliers' drum line has more to work with than scouts! Scouts' drum line play a lot of difficult stuff and move at the same time. Again it is all monetarily and politically motivated. First thing that had to happen is this G7 Crap has to be broken up to make fair competition again. Otherwise, it will be the same 7 group of corps in the top seven year after year.

The truth of the matter is DCI is politically and monetarily controlled now. Simply enjoy your favorite corps show and throw placement and scores out the window!! To try and somewhat bring the competition field to normalcy they must break up this G7 Crap! I see DCI competition placement as sad as it is as being compared to fake wrestling. Entertaining in scores and placements, but not true in the placements when it's all objectively viewed.

As stated earlier, it's not impossible that this could happen. Anything can happen and everyone has an opinion. But, what I stated about what I thought is more possible this year for Madison than any recent years of the past. It should not be do hard to believe and accept the fact that the organization has progressively gotten better, will continue to improve each year with what they have put in place.

Money may be a factor. I honestly don't know what it will take to push SOA into the next grouping of corps either. But, I tend to believe if they keep knocking at the door a d getting better every year in each caption eventually they will get that break through.

I appreciate what you said about SOA having an entertaining show. But, I am just curios at your thoughts as to why SOA just can't seem to jump up into the next grouping of corps and compete with such corps as Cavies, Bluecoats, Scouts and Phantom, if they have the demand? This is not an attack, it's an honest question to your thoughts on the issue. Do you think it's possibly political or is it that SOA is just not clean enough or what?

You can laugh now. But, it is possible. DCI currently has Scouts ahead of Phantom in the rankings in the fifth spot. Their not the same Madison of recent years. And, that old Star staff has them on their way back to the Scouts of their glory years.

I won't guess the scores but my order is guessing 1. Madison 2. Phantom 3. Bluecoats 4. Cavaliers
