Based on some of these placements, it makes no sense. Why are blue coats after phantom and cavaliers after scouts? As ironic as it seems DCI has become a joke!!! The only thing positive about the activity this year is that crown is winning and scouts, troopers and scv are doing well performance wise!!! Screw the scores you can't trust them anyway. Even Hopkons said it's a joke!!!

I think 6th or 5th place is catchable for Madison.

Are they based on tonight's placement or last year's finals placement? And I do agree that the slot that they went on in hurt them.

I've always been a spirit fan. But, in order for them to jump into the next grouping of corps they've got to beef up their visual program next year! I am not saying they need to be in constant motion like cadets, scv or scouts. But, they have to start moving and playing some difficult parts simultaneously in the near future.

Madison's hornline does not play hard licks when they just stand still anymore! Have you objectively seen their show this year? They move and play some awesome parts. Especially during the ""Afghanistan 2025" production. Trust me that argument about the scouts will no longer stand from this year going forward.

I thought the Scouts were looking to fill a euphonium spot recently. Has that already been filled?

I saw where they are going to be handing out cards at shows so that everyone will know the words and can sing along.

I don't like the fact that we even use the word "band" in discussing drum corps at all. But, I guess it can be supported given the fact that they did away with g bugles. I am just happy that i marched in the era that g bugles were used. Those bugles brought a nostalgia to the activity that b flat horns do not.

It's obvious that you either can't stand the Madison Scouts or you have no reasonable clue about predicting the placements this year. I actually hope it's the first rather than the latter for. Me personally being a Scout alum prefers certain styles over others. However, even if I don't like a corps' style or program, I still wish them the best and give them their just due in placement and competition. I will stop here for the sake of civil decorum. But, for you to Predict the Scouts to fall to 19th! Really?!!!

I think that whether cavaliers or scouts end up in front of the other by August. As an all make corps. brotherhood, and with me being a scout alum, I am ecstatic that both all make corps are good, solid drum corps! DCI needs both the Cavaliers and the Scouts to do well. Both of these corps are two long storied brotherhoods with deep history and tradition. We may be tough competitors on the field, but we are our brothers keepers!

Totally agree! They move and play some very difficult licks!!! They might not have done this in recent past. But, that excuse should no longer used against them.
