  1. Scouts will end up between 6 and 8 when it's all said and done. The corps that should be concerned are blue coats and phantom. As I stated two years ago Scouts are an organization that is on the move up again and whether we like them or not, they are going to be a force to be reckoned with in the future again.
  2. Well, I heard of some awesome additions coming to the Scouts' show. I have no idea what. But, even Rondinaro said if they pull this off, all he could say us just "WOW!!!! But, even he is sworn to secrecy to not tell anybody what's coming for their show.
  3. No, I think with exception of about two years, the 80s were their glory years. I may be biased because I marched with them during the 80s.
  4. Yea, I hated those between tour breaks/camps as well!!!
  5. Slim chance that Boston will beat Scouts this year!
  6. Oh less not forget about Boston in that bottom group of top 12 contenders this year. As I stared earlier a log jam for the bottom 3 spots.
  7. Judges see what other scores are around the country for corps and I hate to say it, but it seems as though you can already start to see groupings of corps based on the scores. Example, Blue Coats, Phantom, Scouts are within 0.4 tentths of each other. And I am assuming you put Cavaliers in that group too. This is your 5 thru 8 grouping it appears to me. Non of the other corps are moving in to this group and none are dropping out of this microcosm of grouping this year. The 4 through 1 grouping appears to be SCV, BD, Cadets and Crown. Again, I don't think anyone is moving in or falling out if this grouping this year. I think the bottom grouping for the top 12 would be Spirit, Blue Stars, Blue Knights, Crossmen, Academy and Troopers. Obviously it is a log jam down there this year! And this is exactly the way dci wants it this year.
  8. Totally agree!! But, something seriously needs to be addressed with them about objective fairness!!!
  9. No, we are not to assume that at all. It's just that they are aware that it is becoming more and more exposed.
  10. Like you said, the psychology of it all.
  11. OMG Czapinski is judging visual analysis tonight!!! Scouts could get third in visual analysis tonight!
  12. Interesting prediction! I hope Madison can break a 76 tonight.
  13. If you have that high quality of a drum line, and because you are in the mix with other high quality drum lines, does it mean that your drum line has to maintain that level for several years before you would even be considered good enough to be up there with say a Santa Clara or Blue Devils just because of their past achievements in that area or caption? If the answer to that is probably yes, then I am lead to believe that the judging in dci is more so subjective and biased rather than fair and objective on a year to year basis.
  14. I like this ranking! Except I think SCV and Phantom will be flip flopped in their placements.
  15. I am excited about the Scout's entire show this year!!! But, it is very interesting that no one is mentioning their drum line this year. That Scout drum line is smoking and it all started last year. Also, i think it is conceivable for them to place in the top 3 or 4 drum lines in August!
  16. Let's not forget that Madison does have a very demanding show as well this year. More so than in recent years in fact. I believe the staff planned to make their show more challenging and difficult each year.
  17. I am convinced these judges don't know how to place these corps from night to night now, let alone score them properly!!!
