  1. Let's see, he's called exactly twice (and I couldn't hear/understand him over the bus chatter either time -- both of which were "I need this" calls!). He does PM occasionally on FB (the last one being, "I have some plans to tell you about when I see you in a couple weeks." My response: "Please tell me you're still planning to go to college...."). This is his 2nd year; last year he comm'd a bit more frequently, this year I'm happy to give him his space (he starts college in the fall -- unless he's changed his plans!). He's earned it!
  2. I can tell you as a Troopers member mom -- my kid is one of those who has the opportunity to showcase his double jointed-ness and do a little personalized acrobatics in their pre-show, and he's having an absolute blast! The fact that they can bring something personal to the field, outside the dot book and besides striving to be a soloist, really energizes the members and they work even harder. As an engaged member of the audience, I love it, too, for the very same reasons. (That being said, I'm very happy to see that he decided not to do a flip while holding his horn. . . . so far. . . .)
  3. Personally speaking, I think this year's DM has a heckuva lot of discipline to keep that slow walk going; I've seen a number of shows this season, and he's got it down pat (although I know it does irritate some). That said, I wonder if it has something to do with the theme of this year's show -- This Was The Future -- maybe he's trying to stop time! When I see it in that context, a big ole' smile comes to my face. Go Troop!
  4. Trooper Alex Lackey is truly looking to make time stand still, I do believe, in keeping with the theme of This Was The Future!
