Perfect description of the crowd response last night. Warmed my BD-honk heart to witness the always BD-skeptical northeast audience(if not hostile, in some years) admit and demonstrate how much they were digging the Devils. I would add that the response to much of SCV was perplexed but kind (Though I loved them, and really thought they're about to pass Bloo this week). Nothing against Bloo. They're a total gas. Performance levels being equal, though, I think BD's stronger and more complex show, and any icing on it to come, should own next Saturday night.

Great night in Allentown last night. Not one bad corps. To say the East crowd loved the Madmen would be an, I don't know, understatement doesn't seem to be a strong enough word. They absolutely ate them up. Multiple SOs, a third of the audience up on their feet with twenty seconds left in the show. My wife, even, who only ever buys BD swag, had to go and buy a Scouts shirt in the lightning intermission!

I can chalk up the "incorrect" Blue/Bloo order tonight to the judging panel or whatever, but I can't wrap my head around SCV being THAT far behind the blues 🥴

I'll probably be wrong, but I see tonight as Blue, Bloo, Scv. Next Saturday? Blue, SCV, Bloo.

Pretty shamelessly bumping this one, but Scouts really are one of the corps I'm most hyped to see tonight. YPG is pure Madison, and One Voice is just classic drum corps!

Really hope Troopers are well enough to perform tonight. And, the weather forecast for tonight looks better this morning than it did yesterday afternoon!

Sorry to get all positive, as that doesn't seem to be the mood of this thread, but I'm really over the moon that I'm going to see these young men perform this ridiculously enjoyable show in Allentown in a couple days, after having only seen video so far. Might even buy me some Scouts swag.

And then we immediately begin talking about 20 in '20!
