  1. Hello! I'm sure it's embedded in the bowels of the DCP forums but I admit...I'm lazy. Does anyone know the last time a World class jr. corps used all G bugles for their production?
  2. Was there always a guard member sitting on the sidelines for a few minutes of Crown's show?
  3. Cool new ending....still like the old one...the "avant gardness" of it
  4. Oh my, the mellos are fantastic. I do, however, miss that less edgy G mello bugle tone (just an old timer preference). Cadets' mellos are still so boss.
  5. Will they add the crown as the final set come finals? Awesome show.
  6. Now I'm going to wonder all night how he go his hat back!
  7. If organic milk and fresh honey had a baby, it would be known as the Crossmen's Ballad.
  8. As the OP, all I was looking for discourse, engagement, enlightenment, etc. If this is a rehash, my apologies, but based on the number of responses thus far...it still seems to be a topic worthy of discussion for some (not all). Let me throw this socrative question in there. Given DCI's current status with respect to marketing, its mission etc., do you think a new all-male or all-female corps could be started in today's climate? I supposed if it was attached to an organization such as the boys scouts or girls scouts, then certainly it could.
  9. Beastie Boys and Soundgarden in the same show? Love it!
  10. I've tried my comp to my TV via HDMI and via Airplay. Doesn't match what I can get via the DCI app and airplay... high def and great sound... I wonder if they feed that through a different server.
  11. Love that Cavies do a warmup. Fits perfectly into the show...before you get your "Game On," gotta stretch out those chops.
  12. Just a quick question. Is the Cavies singer live? Or is he lip synching? Either way, imho, he sounds very good.
  13. To your point, I do recall being at DATR in 1999 I think. The Cavies drum majors were being escorted by two lovely ladies from the BK guard to the awards ceremony.... I remember thinking...so boss. Of, course back then, I think the words echoing in my head were something more along the lines of "wicked dope."
  14. Agreed. I think this has been a healthy discourse thus far!
  15. I wonder, of all the colorguard judges in DCI today, how many are female vs. male? Is it possible that their final guard scores are affected by their own gender, either positively or negatively, towards Cavies/Scouts? I'm sure they are all objective in their approach but the subconscious mind can do interesting things.
  16. Just a disclaimer, I did not type the above. I believe it's Brasso's prose. Somehow it says "AROD 24601" says (nothing against what you said Brasso:)).
  17. There is perhaps one quantifiable benefit. We can get data on how many people have found their spouse while on tour:)
