  1. In regards to Cavies Brass I felt that during the Star Trek arrangements dramatic moments were missed utilizing the big tympani moments as in the original score. By the way tympani seems to be lost in alot of shows these days. Also I felt the ending needed at least 4 more counts,, kinda left you hanging. Big fan of the Cavies comeback, and they are on the right track, but the brass ran out of gas a bit, and as stated above dramatic moments were missed.
  2. When watching Fan Network, anyone in a white or light colored uniform got lost when passing through the helmet
  3. The fundamental issue I was trying to get at when I started this thread was that 2 very solid Drum & Bugle corps with excellent GE lost to this over amplified show that finished with no musicianship, but a dance routine to an extremely loud recording,, Madison & Boston played instruments,,, and played them very well. After the initial intro, the pit was never adjusted, and the keyboards were painful from down front as well as up top,, we had folks at our hotel in Allentown sitting all over the stadium and they all had the same reaction,, what we didnt get was that the judges have been around a long time,, who is telling them that over bearing sound systems are to be sscored higher that excellent Drum Corps that play their intruments.
  4. At Allentown everybody in the stands around us agreed that Cavies sound was painful in volume,, thinking that it would be fixed for Indie,, not the case,, when the hornline came in it was a let down due to the excessive sound from the speakers,, and the synth sound playing over the snare feature was just to much
  5. I was surprised to see the Colts helmet this year on the field, last year it wasnt there and it made it so much nicer to watch the drills, the helmet was quite distracting, especially on fan network
