This year's program will surely be dramatically influenced by the talent and experience of the individuals designing and instructing our battery and front ensemble.   3. 2016 Colorguard Team Announcement The Sunrisers are pleased to welcome Jason Nealy to the Corps as our new Color Guard Designer/Caption Head . Jason is originally from Stratford, CT and is currently residing in Lowell, MA. He has been involved with the color guard world for 18 years, having started his color guard career with Bunnell High School in 1996. Sunrisers 2016 Design Team Bobby Jones Continues with the Long Island Sunrisers as Visual Designer and Co-Program Coordinator. Gene has taught numerous award winning drum and bugle corps including the Spartans of Nashua NH, the Boston Crusaders, Connecticut Hurricanes, Rochester Crusaders, Syracuse Brigadiers, Carolina Gold, Fusion Corps from Morristown New Jersey.   9. SUNRISERS PRESS RELEASE 9/19/2014 The Sunrisers are pleased to announce that J.D. Shaw has agreed to become the brass arranger/composer for the corps. "I am extremely excited to be part of the new direction of the Sunrisers. The Sunrisers will continue their drive to be "Bigger and Better" at their next rehearsals this coming Saturday and Sunday, May 25th & 26th, to be held at the Sunrise Business Center, 3500 Sunrise Highway, Great River, East Islip, NY 11739. Rehearsal times will be 10:00am until 7:00pm on Saturday and 10:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday. The corps will continue to learn drill for their 2013 Show. The Sunrisers continue to welcome new members in all sections. While close to being full, there are still openings for ONE trumpet, One mellophone, ONE baritone and possibly ONE tuba to the hornline.
