Order of appearance at the DCI World Championship Prelims (August 10 in Indianapolis) will be based on the reverse order of finish of scores averaged from events in San Antonio, Atlanta, Winston-Salem, and Allentown. Open Class participants will be seeded in the first blocks of performing corps based on reverse order of finish from Open Class Championship events. In the event a corps is not scheduled to appear in a major regional event, their last score received prior to that regional event will be used for averaging purposes.

Does anybody know how show order was determined? FYI I don't think it's a conspiracy, I'm just curious.
(August 4-5 in Allentown) performance orders will be based on reverse order of placement from the DCI Southeastern Championship (Atlanta) and NightBeat (Winston-Salem). For corps only performing in one of those two events, their individual score will be used. Corps participating in both events will have their two scores averaged. Final order will be drawn at random, in groupings of three.

In which case, it doesn't matter which day you compete in Allentown. Some posters claim one group has an advantage over the other.

A) if a corps scores higher than BD tonight you can make the argument that you have caught up, narrowed the gap...that kind of thing. You can say corps X has the highest score to date. You cannot say you are now beating BD or that BD has been defeated. Only Head to head determines that. Unless you defeat a corps head to head you have not won.
B) you can draw some conclusions from the two days of DCI East. But as others have said one set of corps get an extra day to practice. It's two different shows on different nights.
C) it does seem we may have a race for the title down the stretch run. I did not see the show due to gigs. Was BD on fire or was it an average performance by their standards? Same for Bloo.
It is exciting when things tighten up. Sounds like it was a big crowd too from what @Jeff Ream mentioned.
Not always the case....... BD & BK had 2 days between their last shows and Allentown. Boston and Mandarins have 1 day between.

If they had a combined recap, I would say yes. Since it's separate recaps, then no. Although it will be interesting to see what one panel thinks about all the groups.

Also, while not NASCAR size crowds, there's baseball games all week/weekend at the stadium next to the JW Marriott. And there are concerts Thursday and Friday at the amphitheater in the same area.
