  1. Certainly well done on the drum line as well. Competing for a caption trophy on an anniversary year. Very nice.
  2. Drum corps can deliver surprises for sure. Imagine you’re a Boston Crusader drummer..several years ago. You go to bed after a normal day. Just another day. And then you wake up in the morning and discover McNutt is your new drum guy. And just like that, bam, the world is brighter. Boston was inactive for awhile and now look. Blue Stars were also inactive for a time. Some nice performances tonight throughout. Bostons drum line….how much fun to watch.
  3. Was wondering who the corps were 1973. Was there with Blue Stars.
  4. Bump. Could easily turn that into percussion ensemble. Hi hat features rarely project with any impact.
  5. 9 years drum corps (snare). Original, founding member of a current top 12 corps. 3 years battery tech.
  6. Yeah good management always can make a difference for sure. I sort of think that perhaps doing something is better than doing nothing. Maybe there might be a crack in the door with someone connected for revisiting the combined Hershey venue. I would think anything that might generate some attendance would be good for everyone. The more support you have for the activity the better it is for the ‘whole’. Well JMO.
  7. I'm searching for anyone who might be able to send a copy of the last 4 pages of Precision Drumming by Larry McCormick. They are missing from my copy / just got old.

  9. I was there. Still remember the Cardinals rotating the company front. I was 13. Had a pretty bad view on the back side. The Vanguard drum line was really big for those days. The Royal Airs - what a horn line! I'm an old time guy. I still love that opener of the Royal Airs. I remember El capitan too - but more so the following year at American Legion prelims 1966- had a great seat there. That was the last time (1966) I sat on the sidelines - we made finals every year after that.
  10. Could be a bit optimistic for B Star based on the weird stuff happening to them with scoring right now. Dropping 2 points overnight this week. God bless dci judges with no continuity. Madison will be higher. So just a thought.
  11. My son purchased his hat in the age out year. But that might not be an age out 'thing'
