  1. My high school band director is looking for Bb marching baritones or euphoniums (by the way, please notify me if you have any for sale for about $600 per piece or less, used is perfectly fine as long as playable, and tone is much more important than appearance to us, so dents, etc, are okay), since we have flugelbones and they're not doing us good anymore. Recently, she has come across some Dynasty M575 Marching Euphoniums within our price range. I'm her second pair of eyes and ears in our instrument search. I've heard mixed reviews on this horn. If any of you all have played it before, what do you think? Did you like it or not? I want to make sure I'll be playing a quality instrument before we buy it. Thank you!
  2. Hi, my high school band director is looking for 2 Bb marching baritones or euphoniums. Currently, we've got flugelbones, and they're just not working for us anymore. Actual baritones or euphoniums would provide so much more volume and better tone. We're not looking for American Baritones or more flugelbones (ugh... been there, done that!), just straight up marching baritones or euphoniums. The only issue is that our budget is about $600 per instrument. The price may or may not be negotiable. However, I am not in control of our finances, so I'd have to talk with my band director if we found something suitable for us that was out of price range. We'd prefer silver finish instruments versus gold lacquer, but pretty much anything is better than what we have now. Of course, we are very open to used instruments due to our low budget. If there are dents, scratches, places where the finish is missing, or other imperfections, that's fine as long as they still look mostly decent. We can always get them refinished and cleaned up if needed. Does anyone have two marching baritones or marching euphoniums in decent, playable condition with decent tone that they'd be willing to let go for close to $600 or less per piece? Thanks!
  3. Hi, I'm Caroline (or Carrie!) I'm 17 and from NC. I play baritone/euphonium (and a lot of other instruments, but that's it for brass.) (We actually march flugelbones right now, and our band director doesn't even know why we have those. We're working on getting actual marching baritones/euphoniums.) At my school, I'm baritone/tuba section leader and brass captain. I'm a senior this year, and have never participated in drum corps before, but I'd really really like to next summer. My first choice would be Phantom Regiment, but I obviously have other corps in mind as well, such as Blue Stars or Jersey Surf, because Phantom is going to be pretty hard to get into. I still might try out. Anyways, hi! :smile:/>
