Don't get to bent out of shape yes physically they were there but they have no clue what scouts played they were to busy high fiving each other or playing hide and seek whatever it was they weren't paying attention.

How's academy know they smoked them they weren't even there

I marched jr scouts and capital sound although my dad was an alumni of the sr corps I don't feel i earned that distinction. I dont know that I qualify to be a member on the alumni Facebook page.

I'm obviously in the minority here which is fine with me. Its my opinion and some agree and some don't. Next time you find Yourself watching the drumline not playing during the drumline battle the point has been lost.

I think I've been clear that while another group is performing setting down your drums taking selfies, huddling up playin games, walking around not watching the other corps is bad form. Are gone the days where another corps would get a encore by the food trucks and the other corps would watch and than return the favor? has mutual respect been removed from DCI? Yes I get this is a DLB but who are you battling if the other group isnt present in mentality and decorum. Call me old fashion or not fun but I fail to see how a majority of the people discussing don't find this a bit disrespectful.

your right there isn't an established etiquette for this. I'm Simply saying rap battle dance battle drum battle doesn't matter you allow whoever has the floor to perform with out distracting them or the audience from the performance. im not saying don't have fun. I'm not saying don't mock or pander to your competition. I'm saying if you do use your turn to do it. I'm also not saying You have to stand at attention but give your competitors respect give them your attention.

The correlation is a little off its more like the other Team is waving arms and jumping up and down on the foul line while your trying to shoot. All I'm saying is When one group has the floor let them do whatever they want to call out the other drumline maybe even play something on your drum something the other group can't do. Than when it's there turn stand there watch and learn something. Than rebuttal.

why dont both groups just perform at the same time I mean obviously I'm missing something here one group performs while the other does another performance of antics and games. This is obviously the look at me generation.

That's like saying talking and making noise during a golfers back swing is ok as long as you feel it's ok in your world. Yeah Academy apparently has rules that let them act foolish during another corps performance ok. let me guess people are now encouraged too move about the stadium seating during a performance. Can you also just break ranks of a corps now! Is that ok as long as your specific rules according to you say it's ok

yeah scouts are not spending days away from the show to perfect drum battle material. But if you have to act like a fool to call out the other drumline than you've lost. I would much rather see a drumline come out and kick butt with skill and precision rather than goofy antics. If you want to take selfies during your performance fine it's dumb but fine but you should have the decency to allow the other drumline to play so the crowd isn't distracted by duck duck goose or nap time.

Next time you do a drumline battle have some respect for the other corps! You didn't see the scouts running around taking selfies and playing games during your turn. They stood at attention and gave you the floor during your performance. poor form Academy poor form.
