  1. Not the largest. I wouldn't know that. But the loudest or most powerful I do. Spirit 79-80 Bone Rattling Bass Bass you could feel rearranging your organs Solid, clean and full through the whole line.
  2. What do we think would NEVER end up on the field? Things I once thought absolutely preposterous have and are happening. So what do we say "no way that will ever happen" now? Anything? I am not wanting to argue what is going on (in this thread) I am just wondering what I am not thinking of that will likely be on the field in 10 years.
  3. Alumniof don't let the antagonists get to you. You have it right. No need to get flustered. If you go too far and get banned then we will lose your voice of reason. And that is what some folks want.
  4. No. I don't go to shows any more. I did watch finals at a friends house via the internet this past year. First time in a long time. I found a few of them entertaining but it has changed too much for me. Most of it was just weird and not what I want to see/hear. Was what they did hard? You bet. Was I entertained? Not so much (with a few exceptions but not enough to get me back in the stands).
  5. I agree with Alumniof for what it's worth. I know there's more of us that just keep out of the confrontational crapola.
  6. Best: #1 - The Pit. I used to really feel for those guys n gals carrying those super heavy instruments. #2 - The Fan Network. Streaming is better than nothing. #3 - The use of computers to design more impressive drill. Worst: #1 - This is easy. The groups of today are NOT drum and bugle corps. Going to B-flat was a horrible move that still makes me shake my head to this day. Are they awesome bands? You bet and they play and march better than I ever did. Still... not drum and bugle corps. Awesome bands. #2 - Amplification. Again shaking my head. It's absurd. #3 - Electronic instrumentation. Hey you folks play them awesomely but it belongs no where in Drum corps. #4 - I couldn't leave this out. Vocals. Singing... narration.. all of it. Doesn't belong in my opinion.
  7. Would prefer if these could be worked in if even in snippets BD - Legend of a One-Eyed Sailor, La Suerta De Los Tontos Spirit - Nutville, We are the Reason/Let it be me combo, Sweet Ga Brown, Blues in the night Cavies - 007 Madison - Pretty much everything the Almuni corps did a few years back plus Star Wars and Ice Castles SCV - Bottle Dance Phantom - Elsa, 1812 Crossmen - Superman combo with the original and new Someone do a show featuring moments from Corps gone by. Lots to choose from there.
  8. Gonna have to go with 27th Lancers if I can only choose one.
  9. Alumniof said nothing wrong. You folks having a fit need to slow down when you're reading or something. He's blunt. But he's right.
  10. Fireworks Lasers Guest Stars Woodwinds Stringed Instruments either mic'd or jacked in. Majorettes Horses Monster Trucks Dolphins Sky Divers & Sky Writing when possible
  11. Based on whether or not I would ever purposely watch or listen to the performance again: Crown SCV Madison Cadets Bloo Spirit Cavaliers Boston Phantom BK Blue Stars BD Hard and clean (and boring)? Don't care. Weird, hard and clean? Don't care. Yes I am getting old and crotchity. Don't care. (now get off my lawn ya rotten kids)
  12. Let it Be Me - Spirit 79 or 80 (especially 80) Madison 2013
  13. Being old school as I am, absolutely nothing would surprise me at this point. So many things I just knew would never happen, Did.
