  1. ok.... if you're at the Minneapolis regional... look for me whe G7 are on.. I'll either be clapping politely, using the restroom or just talking with others that feel like I do. If you do see me, and know who I am... please stop by so we can chat some more !!!! have a good night !
  2. And Im rude... are you kidding me...? Of all the thousands of posters here that ##### and moan and groan....... you point ME OUT !!!!!!! Geez... with this kind of luck.. Im running to go get a lottery ticket..!!!!!!! Calling things crap... no, just bad ideas (imho)..oh .. and by the way............. who are these "many" you sugggest that have viewed me and are just as disgruntled as you ??? Devaluing others opinions? Like what you are doing to me...?? No- I state from years of being involved in drum and bugle corps, so pardon me if I know a little something here... Im not into bragging.. I just want to clarify this state with you..... So let me ask you.... what makes you SO SUPERIOR to anyone on here with differences then YOU ??? We all have opinions.. you, obviously, have taken it upon yourself to find mine just completely out of this world... again...another reason for a lottery ticket.. since you seem to know alot here. Please, tell us all, just why you are superior, whether you mean to or not, you come across that way (imho).. maybe other.. not sure.....
  3. Guardy... you've been riding me all night about this subject... I have a right to state how I feel... excuse ME if I dont agree with you.. no skin off my teeth... I just feel very very strong about this G7 -stuff- that I, along with you, have the right to address those that care to read. And like I stated, I will politely clap for said corps.... If you have a problem with my words I just stated, then, hey.. go watch the 7 and have a great time ! Again.. this is a PUBLIC forum... sorry Im on your hit list.. but what you state and what you say to my face would more then likely be 2 different variations of your feelings... so, I'll just take it at that !
  4. In this case, with the corps picture that you have spewed out for all of us to ......um.. see.... I will go and get up with most of the croud, either get a refreshment or attend to a duty in the bathroom.. (huum.... C2000--bathroom)... seems to fit... nothing but #### anyway !!! So yeah.. Im going.. to watch the corps I want to... and to find something to do while those other corps... (if they dare lower themselves to something called DCI) corps perform. The end.
  5. I'll attend, like many on here have stated, but my applause will be very slight.. I'll spend my drum corps dollar on corps that are not apart of this so called "coupe..." So.. yes.. I will be there to see some drumcorps... I will be in Minneapolis for the regional there.. I will try to enjoy and see it, and I plan on others to stand with me on this with the above actions. period.
  6. Well.. I and MANY will sit and politely clap for their efforts, dispite what that corps' members directors feel or believe on this matter... BUT their is POWER IN NUMBERS !! Only thru the summer, will we find out just how this whole "mess" for the majority of the fans that have kept this organization known as DCI going thru the year. Again... this is going to be a very intersting if not defining summer for what we currently call Drum Corps International.. Thinking maybe in the fall, the word Marching Band will somehow take place.
  7. tick-tock-tick-tock may noy be as quiet for some of thes corps with their "egos", but hopefully,,,,,, they will get the point........ (IMHO) Im sorry if you are marching with one of these corps..... I will applaud you very quietly and I wont buy your souvies, just as MOST OF THE FOLKS have responded with.. (not happy with this "new" quote form quote of drum corps) that we are supposed to embrace..... Signed DCI fan....... not a MBI fan !!!! me
  8. All I can tell you, from your previous words and thoughts, is that I HOPE YOU LIKE SILENCE OR EMPTY SEATS.............
  9. oh dear god !! I sure as he11 hope this doesnt come to be true !!!! Just leave drum and bugle corps where it is.....
  10. The reason I still keep around with this activity is because I enjoy drum and bugle corps. I enjoy the sound of that specific sound.. brass. I enjoy how the colorguard can add so much to a show by what it can do with a piece of equipment, and I enjoy and am facinated by how the marching drums can go out there and dowhat they do without knocking each other down............ Its just unfortunate that over that last few years, electronics and amps have been added.. (imho) and Im REALLY not sure if I care to LISTEN to WW's... where I want to hear a BRASS instrument. If I offend anyone with this.. then Im sorry..
  11. ok... let me rephrase this statement... "I" dont care for woodwinds in drum and bugle corps, an organization that has been in existance since 1972 (DCI) "I" will not support a drum corps by not attending their home shows.. visiting their souvies.. and sit very quietly and clap vagley in the stands. I am there to see the D&B corps that I enjoy... and if I have to tolerate the "woodwind", as I do the too fat for 1 seat or the crying child 3 rows back fan, I will.... because Im there to hear bugles/not woodwinds. When I quote "I" .... I was thinking of the people that enjoiy drumcorps...as a whole.... and with polls and feedback, starting from electronics and amps, the audience numbers dont care for what is happening, and will choose to spend their hard earned money elsewhere..
  12. well... having to believe that we -older- fans... ones that remember the 80's and 90's, prior to your conceivment...... HAVE kept this organization going, and Im sorry bums like you and -some- in you demographics,... choose to riducule and us. WELLL... just remember... we are STILL here,.... and we just want DCI to know that we dont care for some of it's "changes"...... If they allow woodwinds in this "sport of the arts", then they better come up with a new name, cuz DCI wont be DCI anymore... and you all thatlove woodwinds, can have your marching bands of america-drum corps version.
  13. gee... i wonder who is anonymous on here.... could it be Scouty ?????
  14. yes.. BD had the goods, but the night belonged to Madison ! that place erupted after M'gana....perfect temp... perfect night.. just a good time in drum corps... Suncoast was still around.. Cadets were still Garfield... just a good time to enjoy the activity. I was 23.. and living in Atlanta after moving from Wisconsin...now I look years later... and there's some good stuff out there.. and I appreciate them... but the 3 years in Madison... KC.. Buffalo... good times !!!!!!!! Mike
