  1. No, you just don't like the rumors coming out of your favorite organization so you're getting all butthurt about it.
  2. Disappointed to hear this. Have loved what he's done with the brass there, and he's a great teacher.
  3. Drum corps is no different than any other sport in that people follow staff changes and those staff changes often come out well before the official announcement. I'm seeing all of those regularly as a fan of college sports. and its no different in drum corps. It seems like you're the one who doesn't get it. Oh, and its fun to attack people who post rumors without naming their sources, but the fun thing about sources is that people who name their sources quickly find themselves without sources
  4. At the end of the day, as much as flo may like to still try the 'its a problem on your end' thing, it isnt 2005 anymore. Most of us have multiple streaming services, so we know whether or not our setup can handle streaming flawlessly or not. If every other service works, but Flo goes down repeatedly, its a Flo issue one way or another. And yeah, i saw repeated drops from Flo. Multiple times during the same shows.
  5. Brandt is an american treasure and an institution in drum corps. Is he perfect? No. But it will be a loss the day he hangs it up, and i think he's earned the right to decide when that is.
  6. I definitely heard a couple moments where it was pretty strong on my sub during the Stars' show. Could have been placement of the mics though.
  7. Well.. the last 3-peat it felt like it was narrowly got 8th, solidly got 8th, narrowly missed 7th Last year was more 'solidly got 8th' and this year was more like 'narrowly missed 7th' so... maybe next year finally punches through the wall. But.. drum corps is tough, in that its not always enough to just get better. Sometimes to move up someone else has to also not get better, or else you're where you were when you started, placement-wise.
  8. I mean that just drum corps. I remember having runs where half the corps thought it was the best run ever, the other thought it sucked
  9. Maybe I've been thinking of this flo thing all wrong. For 29.99 there's no way I'll find a cheaper option for someone to go down on me all night.
  10. Flo crashed again. At least I know how well Williams did at the bowling event now, as it has been drilled into me that he dominated.
  11. Absolutely this. Resolution matters a lot less than bitrate. And they seem to barely be able to handle the current bitrate
  12. Ugh. Would hate to see something like this, something relatively out of the members' control.
  13. And it randomly dropped before the last minute of the show for me so I missed the end of the show going out and back in. #### you flo.
  14. Really enjoying this BK show. The little bit of nostalgia I felt for the 05 cadets show doesn't hurt.
  15. Those are both lower value options than a call-out prior to scores. And at the end of the day, even if that isnt much different, you do what you can to keep sponsors happy even if its just little things like this.
  16. May be annoying, but there are bills to pay. And in an activity that needs every dollar it can get, hard to complain too much.
  17. It seems like for every 10 times a drum corps designer thinks 'you know what would be super original here? a soft ending!', 9 times it fails, 1 time it works really well. Its overdone. I think the soft ending for this show doesnt really do it for me. The prior ending teased a big ending to be added, and then without it it just kind of fizzles.
  18. Eh, i think its fair for some to see an advantage in going on on night 2 of allentown. Has always felt that way to me, barring some other challenge like weather coming into play. And how could it not be, if everyone is working to get a little bit better every day of the season, of course the shows that go on a day later will be advantaged.
  19. Yeah, with this many judges in play, i've always thought the idea of 'rank then rate' was a bit problematic for this reason.
  20. The reverse happened in 08 with Blue Stars, took awhile to start not being scored like a 14th place corps. First several shows out they were losing to Colts (who ended up placing 14th)
