I did all the corps all the days in College Park in 2000. It was amazing

Should be the last time to see the Open Class Corps..
Saturday on Flo prior to the show. The Open Class champ performs in exhibition.

Yah. A corps housed around Marion can just stay put and bus it into Indy for the performances. Less logistical mess too
also, I remember some talk of whether the rain delay was gonna push performance times past midnight and make issues for noise ordinances. There’s houses around that stadium if I recall. Whereas at IWU they’ve just got whoever might be there early (I.e. student athletes) who’ll be up late anyway on campus. It’s not really “right in” Marion. Almost out to Gas City

Hah. You could spin a while melodrama. “It’s bad enough he dumped me for the duet girl but that he’d open up and hug her in front of all these people when he wouldn’t even hold my hand on the bus! I can’t take it anymore! I’m leaving!”
Actual context, 7R had a fantastic show about the relationship of the sun and the moon chasing one another but never be in the sky together other than for a short time. The guard girl running off is the sun setting. You’ll see the corps in circles kneeling in circles and holding hands doing alternating bends. This is also how the show started and the twinkling of the stars in the moonlight.
The duet hug is just a huge release of emotion at a really good seasons’ end for some hard working kids.

Normally I'd say its because SCVC and BDB staffs know how to design a show that looks on par with WC shows. But Spartans have that in spades this year. I'm curious to see if they're rewarded similarly. They totally should be.
Also, I think the lower groups dropping is likely more a 'well we need to save room at the top so we're not giving BD and Bloo 99.95 tonight and then getting railed at on DCP and Reddit when they get a 98 something on Saturday." -

Someone with wikipedia is on the ball. I just checked a few pages for some details and they already have the show summaries color coded with Open Class medals and finalists.

Louisiana Stars starting in 2014 and Southwind basicallly restartng from scratch the that year too.
6th season in existence and possibly busting into semis. -
Golden Empire 4th in percussion tonight!
and Legends got that percussion award by .05 or it would have been a Spartans sweep.
Gold and Legends so close across the board. Music Analysis and Percussion was what pulled them just up

Different shows different years etc.
2018 SCVC won with 79.4252017 SCVC won with 80.725
2016 BDB won with 79.9
2015 SCVC won with 81.225
So this Spartans show holds up QUITE well in comparison. We'll never know for sure, but I do believe this show would have gotten one and maybe both of the California corps.

yes the 'grats Southwind" was for the "most improved" Sorry I didn't get that in there. They were rolling through scores.

Go for it. The commentary people do a good job for the most part. But dang the graphics people need to be sat down and explained "greater than" and "less than" I mean really all they have to do is type the scores in as they're announced.

Back when I was in college, they opened a brand new White Castle in the next town. They did a giveaway of a burgers for those using the drive through the first day. By the end of the day they'd given away over 10,000 burgers. That's amazing isn't it? I mean...that's almost a WHOLE POUND of hamburger.
