Very nice work on the ballad, Heat Wave!

Looking at their staff page real quick, they've got a lot of successful small indoor and HS experience teaching these kids. This show works so well. It's a smart decision to go for a 'story show' for a small corps I think, it gets a lot of impact and ties the cohesiveness together.

Effective opening with Nature Boy. Didn't expect to ever say that...heh.

As DrumManTx mentioned, the smaller size forces more creativity for the smaller groups. For the larger groups, there's more freedom to innovate it seems as the 'risk' isn't there of a show that bombs and sets back the corps unduly. I can't imagine a big time WC corps taking a risk like Guardians did with their Kayne West show awhile back. But we see some of the things that OC corps innovate adopted in to WC after they've been proven to be something the judges won't reject out of hand.

Flo... don't close up on the 'back stage' as they do the uniform change...it ruins the magic.

Alright. SOMEONE did their homework for what the new venue would look like when making those props. The close up made the trees on the prop paintings look like they fit with that tree in the background perfectly.

On Eagles Wings works so well.

Right. The youth of this group is one of the things that's fun to watch. it's the "smol" thing DrumManTx coined for them. And there's NOTHING like a "band bus mom" to go over the top in support.

Its the plumes. They make these kids look super tall. Go battery! They're doing well out there.

Haven't seen them this year but they've always been entertaining and tended to make big moves. The scores in Open have been a jumble this year it seems with fewer head to head shows with corps and a tight bundle of corps. Should make for some good excitement today tomorrow and Quarters in Indy.

Somewhere. Someone, perhaps several. Are thinking "mom, did you have to yell that?"

Looked up their reps and discovered this is an all original music show. I could hear the Key Poulan in it though!

Yeah they're using those mini-hamster wheels quite well. They've got some good musical moments going too

Oh! I cidn't know about the cross corps bonds. That's neat, and probably something that assists a great deal with the survivability of such small corps.

I mean upon the discovery that you were missing streaming drum corps you start screaming this in the car.... 😉

Raiders on now. Good to see them still going, I think they've had some organizational ups and downs financially the past few years.

I thought perhaps you were driving to Indy or something. I imagined, "JIM JIM STOP RIGHT NOW! PULL OVER TO THAT STARBUCKS WHERE WE CAN STREAM VIDEO! THERE'S DRUM CORPS ON RIGHT NOW!"
