They're cleaning up nicely with viz. The two toned pants give that monopod effect again from high, especially in the lights tonight. It's looking sharper than I recall every this season.

Yeah, staff down on the front line is loosing their mind with this run. Cavies are gonna max out this show next weekend and I'm here for it.

Gosh. Cavies have really developed each of their sections in a balanced way the past few years. Getting stronger and stronger across brass, percussion, and guard all at once. This show is a winner and I get the feeling they're gonna be back in the medals very very soon.

There's a ton of "Irish immigrant" markers in this show. It's like the show Pioneer should have gone for but never did. Of course not at this level.

Cavies are totally going for it.

I just realized that Masalanka's 4th "Old 100th" portion, the woodwind parts are sort of written to the battery...of all places. Rather than the pit. New cloth things at the end. Visually effective and bringing the male and female symbols together with the eternity.

Ok that bit is where the stairs really really work well for me. The brass is dashing over and through them in a pretty mesmerizing way.

Maybe it's just Flo but the screechy around the Do Better is ...particularly bad... tonight.

Ya know. I'm ok with this battery being featured as much as they are. It's just super entertaining to watch them. The rest of it...not as much, but I'm here for the battery for sure.

Not sure I've noticed it. But the LED brightness of Mandarin's lantern seemed "more" tonight under the lights in the night than I recall in the past too.

The momentum the 5th bass has to generate in front of your center of gravity has to be a part of that too.

That's an outstanding design again. Guard is stellar. Brass has improved. Percussion is gonna get passed by a line or two in placement I think.

Seriously, he was spinning around and around with the others to get that move in then he over swung by a bit and you could see him pause and wait for the world to stop moving before he stepped back in alignment. I was worried he was gonna fall.

Bass 5 working hard to stop that spin and get back to playing....hah.

Spikes were originally added to a shoulder weren't they? I like the better off the hoods.

Are they actually doing that with their mouths though? It's a "WTF DID YOU JUST DO?" moment for sure.

That rifle bit where, whatever they're actually doing, looks like they spin around holding the end in their mouths is so good.

Oh I get it. Mandarins are doing a "dark version" of Jersey Surf's show and these are the 'dark zone' fish! 😉 But seriously I love the weirdness coming out more and more in this show.
