I know many posters have submitted a score prediction. But based on last night in Indy, what adjustments would be made? I would believe BD & SCV over 70 for sure, possibly BD 73 & SCV 72?

Shows are complete in that all captions have stuff for the entire/full show. Some corps may not have everything included yet.

5 words each Bloo - not as innovative, but gooood Crown - Too Disneyesque in second half Cavies - Frenetic, confusing, but pretty cool Cadets - Manna from heaven, being 4th Blue Stars - Should have been 4th tonight Crossmen - missing a little drill oomph Just my opinion above. In theater tonight crossmen and cadets got polite applause. No one sure Blue Stars show was done. Cavies got a mixed reaction. Crown was a fave. Bloo was unquestionably the big fave. Comments heard: Bloo was great. Cadets got a gift. overall there is a lot of room to grow for all. Each so very different from the other.

Bloo, Crown, Cavies,Blue Stars, Cadets, Crossmen. In that order. Cavies close to Crown

This is great. Thank you for doing this. It will be cool to see, as the season progresses and finishes, how these position change. If they do.

It's too bad no one here has the time to do an spreadsheet of the average scores of each shows predictions and see how scores are averaging along with placements. Might even get a preseason ranking via predictions. Obvious its Bluecoats and BD at the top. Then it's all over the place or so it seems after that. Cadets are bouncing around as is Crown and Boston is in the mix. This is making me antsy for the shows over the next few days.

Had to have a cop. The town fathers are a pain. Had to get a parade permit for the corps appearance. JC and wife are wonderful people and were tremendous generous hosts. I believe this was all on the Cronins not on BOD or IAM.

They were incentivized by the coming clambake barbecue LOL. They were playing for lobster. LOL

One thing that you may attribute to BAC's rapid improvement if you will, 57 returning brass players.

I appreciate your reply. I wasn't directing anything in particular towards George. I was meaning the overall situation with design issues, changes, a rough hard season. A staff that had been together for so long might have succumbed to the grind. After a bit of reflection some staff decided maybe to move on to other things, places or restful quiet. Good luck to the Cadets and best wishes to all their ardent supporters. You are all very prolific when it comes to posting on DCP.

I'm going to be in Houston for work this week so I hope to go to a local theater for the show. Anyone in the area able to give pointers?

There is a clear inference in your post that the people who left after last summer were responsible for delivering a lowered standard. Was there anything that hindered their re-delivering the high standard they had delivered before? And did any of those folks who left, feel that for one reason or another, it was simply time to move on? That they'd had enough of what had transpired throughout the season (and before the season) and couldn't see anything they felt needing change, being changed anytime soon? Maybe I'm reading too much into what you are saying. I agree that change is needed from time to time to reinvigorate a brand so to speak. But conversely, there have been many discussions on DCP that point out that continuity of staff has bred a lot of success for org's. BD being an example of that.

I agree with everything you've said here. One area that requires improvement or a paradigm shift in corps, is their operating model. The function of a corps today has to begin with the resetting of their long range function and how the support structure is developed or redeveloped as the case may be.

Appreciate your take. Video can be deceiving. No pastels in the palette. Actually somewhat muted in some elements. Yes lots of body work and lots to clean and unify. Doesn't feel like a lot of rats and spiders lol. But seeing it live you come away understanding what a video doesn't show. Lots of depth and early higher performance level than past few seasons. Many past few seasons!

Wow Craiga. Be nice next time you see him. He isn't that old. He and his brother marched Marlboro Dukes early 70's and BAC mid 70's. 75 for sure and I think 76 too.
