Hi Drum Corps Planet! I'm Michael from Sioux Falls South Dakota. I hope to audition for a drum corps next year! I am saxophone player however who is starting mellophone lessons. I realize it will be tough to do so I assume I will probably be in open class if anything at all. I am just looking for a few answers on auditions and the summer. 1. During the school year, how often will I need to travel to my corps (I realize it's different for corps, answer what's true for you) 2. I'm still in high school so how does drum corps conflict with your school drum corps? 3. When do you receive your music and when are you expected to have it memorized? 4. What corps would you recommend for a young kid learning a new instrument?
