  1. Actually, our drill writer is OBSESSED with Mountain Dew. It is a tradition for The Line to give him MD because we like him and he likes MD. I would know this, because I AM on The Line. Thanks for playing. Bye-Bye. Kam..I guess its a fairly recent thing, but believe me...no one even begins to mention that it has anything to do with the drill. Mr. Murphy is not one to be messed with....we love the guy, so he gets his fav carbonated beverage, courtesy of The Line. ----------------- Concord Blue Devils - The Line- 03-05

not at all a reliable source. completely false.
  3. 100% correct. We add to the texture as you said, more like an organ....rather than say...a bass guitar would add bass to a rock band.
  4. (btw, Im third from the right) B) Shameless plug for The Line. ^0^ Its guys like you, westcott, who make me proud to be a Blue Devil on The Line. Because I know we can take whatever is given to us, and perform the #### out of it.
  5. We all fly in twice a month and then cram into apartments of members who live in the area or we'll cram into a local hotel. During 9-9's, people find temporary apartments/families to live with until tour starts. it costs $$.
  6. its really easy to arrange. try it! B)

  8. Oh, I get it now. I can play with passion, heart, emotion, and energy too, if I try to play so loud that the horn goes out of tune and I stick out of the ensemble. Gotcha. Thats all Im going to say in this.
  9. I can't help but feel that there are too many people here that let "emotion" and "energy" be an excuse for making intonation and balance issues.
  10. deftguy, is this Mike a friend of yours? You know a lot of people named Mike. This Mike fella gets to listen to a lot of corps up close, lucky guy. Anyways, Im curious as to why this thread was started, considering its a 2003 Finals CD's review.....but submitted only with a couple of corps reviewed. Oh well. I still want the CD's.
  11. I actually heard that......from the field. ^0^ seriously.
  12. I love you for that. You are one of the few that agree with myself in that Phantom's hornline wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Thank you. Count me in, as well. Good, no question, and at times even excellent. But not the second coming, as you would think from reading these boards. Im with you guys. They were loud and played good music, bout it. And um, I want the finals CD's.
  13. Whats more likely to have occured than a judging consipiracy? Cadets guard had their worst perfomance of the three nights on Quarters, had a great show on Semis, and almost as good as Semis show on Finals night. Why is it always the judges fault? Anyways, to get back on topic....I would have liked to see BD take drums...but I trust the judges!
