Yea that was funny lol. Yea brother I wish we more time to hang out as well. It was hard to see all of you since I was traveling with the wife, my mom, grandmother and auntie. I had to entertain them and play taxi driver all over Indy based off what they wanted to do lol. But it was certainly a pleasure to meet you even if it was only for a couple minutes. Glad I was able to assist in getting you to Indy. Hope you had an amazing time!

No doubt. 6-7 is very tough to move up from. But in the last 20 years, we have seen Crown, Bloo, and BAC do it, so the Mandarins can do it too.

As a Niners fan, I hope Jerry Jones finds the Holy Grail and continues to run the cowboys into the ground. But knowing my luck, he will drink from the wrong cup.

Thanks brother. Appreciate those kind words. I don't know to be honest about Dre joining DCP lol. I know for a fact he and several of the corps members follow DCP anonymously thru out the season and after shows to see what we say about them. So he is well aware of this site lol. I picked him up last night at LAX and took him to his apartment, on the way there he hinted at maybe joining a drum corps staff in the near future, if a corps is willing to hire him. Who knows, you might see the fro roaming the sidelines of a corps performance and warming them up in the lot. We'll see what happens moving forward.

Thanks brother! Happy and proud to be apart of the DCP family. I was here on DCP before my son marched, and I will certainly be here moving forward. But 2026 will be me and the wife's 25th anniversary. Unfortunately, I was deployed for our 5th, 10th and 15th anniversary's. In 2021 for our 20th, I was retiring and transitioning to civilian life, not to mention Covid was still rampant, so we didn't celebrate 20 either, or at least the way we wanted to celebrate. So, we decided that 2026 will be a yearlong celebration to make up for the lost years. Each month we will do something special, traveling here in the states, international etc. So, I'll be around and checking in from time to time, but with our daughter and son grown and out of the house, and the wear and tear of military life in the rear-view mirror, the time has come to make "Us Time" priority #1.

While maybe not a record setter most care about nor pay attention to, I am going to highlight the Mandarins beating the Blue Devils in Music Analysis Thursday night. Outside of proximity from Sacramento to Concord, this is the first time the Mandarins have been this close or beaten BD in ANYTHING. If someone told us 10 years ago, heck even five years ago that the Mandarins would be good enough to take a caption from BD, that person probably would have been laughed off this site. Congrats to the Mandarins on that record setter, and as someone posted in another thread yesterday, the Mandarins are indeed on the clock for being next in line to win a title.

A little late to the game on this, but one of the judges had Mandarins over BD in Music Analysis Quarterfinals night. Congrats to the Mandarins! That's the first time in corps history they have beaten BD in any subcaption/caption.

So I am sitting at the gate waiting to board my flight, and Dan Potter is on my flight, sitting in the next row of seats. I should show him the vid of my crazy kid photo bombing and doing the worm behind him at the age out ceremony lol.

Will go ahead and get this started for 2026. I might not be around as much next season, but I am very interested in what's next for the Mandarins as they continue to ascend towards the top five.

I am good brother. Me and the wife got emotional. But we are ok. Just super proud parents right now. Mandarins had their best run of the year by far.

It's ok. My son had a phenomenal age out year regardless of what the critics thought.
